I don't want to sound ungrateful because i'm glad we finally got Glacian as card, with his beloved Rebbec too... but he sucks... really bad too.
Paying 6 for 3/6 with an average T effect? He may even be worse than Radiant

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
He was greatest, most brilliant artificer of the Thran, the genius of his time.
With Rebbec, he shut Yawgmoth and Phyrexia out of Dominaria for 9,000 years.
His soul dwells in the Mightstone and Weakstone that became Urza's eyes.
It's implied that Urza's Planeswalker's spark might actually be Glacian's.
And this is his card?
I'm absolutely with you, but to play devil's advocate, the fact that this is a creature card and not a planeswalker card implies this is before his spark ignited (duh), so maybe that's why it's not that powerful? But I'm also not 100% familiar with the story so...

his spark never ignited and was absorbed into what would become the mightstone and weakstone
I’m pretty mad about this. They made the most powerful characters in MTG’s history into uncommons for the most part. Make him a rare and downgrade Liesa. His story implications were way more important than her’s.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Damn, is he the last uncommon Blue partner? I was hoping for some useful Artifact commander to pair with Armix, Filigree Thrasher in PDH. This is too expensive, could've used a 3/4 for 3U...
I will be honest besides the high cmc to cast I’m truely confused why people are saying this is garbage
because he literally gives self mill and artifact focus decks love that with all the recursion stuff and another way to quickly get a thassa's Oracle/laboratory maniac Ready to go easily

He should have cost 4, and been templated like Azami instead of a tap ability. Plus had one more ability that captured his lore better.
Like give all artifacts or non-creature artifacts "T: C This artifact deals 1 damage to you." So it follows the overuse of power stones and the sickness.

Presenting Glacian, seen here using powerstones and not being storage for one (like he was for 90% of The Thran).

good thing rebbec has her husband as well

also like his wife, he's profoundly underwhelming given his importance to the story
...neither of them have art as how i pictured them in my head either.
i also find his mechanic a little off for engineering powerstones.

Well the Thran did inadvertently fuel Yawgmoth's plans by bringing him back from exile to heal Glacian...

absolutely and you know what the counterargument someone will pose is?
Limited. **** limited man. It ruins the design space for pretty much every new MTG set back to Lorwyn.
Before limited, this would have been Vizzerdrix.

An artifact focus build could run both Inspiring Statuary and Glacian, Powerstone Engineer. Versatility on tapping down artifacts.
