First card comes to mind for 1 and 2 figure out how to abuse that with Phyrexian Obliterator which is soon to get the phyrexian creature type by the way.
Very nice indeed. Gets around Bonecrusher Giant-type effects because it is not trying to prevent the damage and then eventually you get a flying creature out of the deal.
Not that this will ever happen but someone needs to use chapter III on Sharktocrab.
So... uh, this is the fourth reanimate-to-the-battlefield effect we've seen in this set (not counting the white shephard) and this is the first unconditional Revival card we've seen for under CMC 4 in a VERY long time. Consider me excited.

If I can only get 1 youtube follower out of just you, and you alone, I will stream this and try my damndest to have Sharktocrab ascend!
Probably an underrated part of this saga's first 2 steps: small weenies you can cast with white, black, and colourless mana like Bob, Stoneforge Mystic, and Bomat Courier can now swing with impunity (as long as someone different takes the damage and dies).

When you refer to Ikoria, are you referring to the CMC 5 sorcery, the CMC 6 instant, the CMC 4 creature that requires the creature to be in play to begin with, or the high-CMC legend that brings back creatures with total power 10.
Direct revival with CMC 4 or less has been very rare for a long time. Outside of very limited cards like Claim//Fame or Revival//Revenge (which were CMC limited), we haven't seen such cards for a while. This set has 3 cards that bring back creatures for CMC 4 or less and one of them has a CMC of 3, which is very rare (unless you can remind me of cards I'm forgetting).
I stand by my being fairly impressed, even if one of those cards are restricted to elves and the other two force you to wait a bit.

I mainly remember the CMC 3 one that brings back creatures with a total converted mana cost of 3 or less named Call of the Death-Dweller.
Good card. Call is also underrated.
Somehow, I already missed the boat preordering foils of these at my LGS as they're now sold out, but I'll be getting them once inventory restocks.
Either redirect the damage to something big, or make sure it comes back later. Also coming back is the second flying counter of the set.
