Sure, the damage was assigned from a face-down nothing, but that face-down nothing became a rogue before damage was actually dealt. Thus, a rogue you control dealt damage this turn, so you can play prowl spells for their prowl cost.

When you turn a morph creature face up it is still the same object, so it will still be dealing the damage. When you flip it face-up to reveal a Riptide Pilferer, the Pilferer will still be doing the damage and it is a Rogue. Therefore, once that damage resolves, a Rogue has dealt combat damage to a player this turn.

Just a nitpick - your opponent doesn't discard three cards, he discards two. (He reveals three and you choose two)

Turn 4: Play Riptide Pilferer faced-down.
Turn 5: Attack Pilferer for 2 damage. (assume that it wasn't blocked)
Stack damage, pay morph cost.
Play Noggin Whack for prowl cost.
(Opponent discards 3 cards)
Is this possible?

I don't care if I was framed for murder if I only got a warning I would let it go.
I've also made over 95 bucks on this site since I started on 11/24/09. Give it a try!
