Preeminent Captain + Veteran's Armaments + Militia's Pride
..And this card in hand:
Chameleon Colossus.
Card desc are as follows:
Preeminent Captain: First strike
Whenever Preeminent Captain attacks, you may put a Soldier creature card from your hand into play tapped and attacking.
Veteran's Armaments: Equipped creature has "Whenever this creature attacks or blocks, it gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each attacking creature."
Whenever a Soldier creature comes into play, you may attach Veteran's Armaments to it.
Chameleon Colossus: Changeling (This card is every creature type at all times)
Protection from Black
2{G}{G}: Chameleon Colossus gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is equal to its power.
I'd like to hear your opinion whether this interaction is legal:
You attack with the Captain, you put down a Colossus from hand into play attacking, you trigger veteran's armaments and attach to the colossus, you trigger and pay for militia's pride for BOTH the attacking captain and the colossus to have 2 other soldier kithkin tokens in play and attacking.
The above scenario will give you 4 attacking creatures, with the Colossus getting +4/+4 due to the armament, making it an 8/8 creature. Before combat damage, you activate the colossus' ability to double it's P/T, making it a 16/16 creature.
Some guys asked me this question in another forum, I answered his question like this am I correct Im not 100% sure.
He will only get 1 token from the capatain because when the Chameleon enters play its to late for it to see the colossi attacking, the equipment gets attached to collosi and only gets a +3/+3 bonus?
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
Militia's Pride only triggers once, for the Captain. Both triggers (Pride and Captain) go on the stack, and you can resolve them in whatever order you want (it doesn't matter for this case). Both tokens come into play tapped and attacking, and the Armaments trigger twice.
You can attach it to a creature, but it won't give a boost. The Armaments give an ability that triggers on attacking or blocking, which means when they're declared as attackers or blockers. Since you didn't declare either new creature (the token or the Collossus), it won't trigger the ability and neither will get a bonus.
You end up with 1 Kithkin token, and all 3 creatures attacking at face value with no boosts.

Right, assuming the Armaments start unnattached. However, this situation gets even weirder if the Armaments start attached to something. Let's say the armaments are attached to the captain.
In play: Captain, Armaments (equipping captain), Militia's Pride.
Attack with captain. 3 seperate triggers go on the stack: Pride's, the Captain's, and Armament's pump. The best way to stack them is:
Pride's token making
Captain's put into play ability
Armament's Pump
The token making ability resolves, putting a 1/1 kithkin soldier into play tapped and attacking (assuming you pay W). The Armaments trigger to move. Assume this trigger gets resolved with nothing else happening. You now have a 1/1 equipped token and a captain (both attacking).
The put into play ability resolves. Put Chameleon Collossus into play tapped and attacking. Armaments triggers to move again, ends up on the Collossus. You now have a 1/1 token, a captain, and an equipped collossus, all attacking.
The Armament's attack trigger resolves. Since it was an ability granted to the captain, the captain gets the bonus. He sees 3 creatures attacking and gets +3/+3.
The collossus will not trigger the pride, since it is put into play in the attacking state, rather than actually being declared as an attacker. Neither the collossus nor the pride token will trigger the armament's pump ability, because again, they don't actually attack, they are put into play attacking.

Still I prefer using Mirror Entity than Chameleon Colossus in this situation.
With Chameleon Colossus, assuming you have 5 mana, you end up attacking with :
A 1/1 Token.
A 5/5 First-Strike Captain.
A 8/8 Pro-Black Colossus.
With Mirror Entity, you end up attacking with :
A 4/4 Token.
A 7/7 First-Strike Captain.
A 4/4 Mirror Entity.
You deal 1 more point of damage in this scenario... assuming you have nothing else on the board. If you have less than 5 lands, the mirror entity is still more efficient than the Colossus.
