InstantThe next 2 damage that a source of your choice would deal to you or a permanent you control this turn is dealt to target creature or player instead.
Pretty cool, we all know that at least, but I was wondering something :
Let's say i have 2 bears on the board. My opponent plays a pyroclasm. I play Harm's way and try to prevent 1 damage on each bear...
I believe that it in fact does work. The wording is somewhat unusual, since it's only target is the one that the damage is redirected to, most damage prevention targets the protected target. Since all the damage from the Pyroclasm is dealt at the same time the effected player (you) gets to decide which damage is prevented so long as it's dealt to you or a permanent you control, it is legal to redirect that damage.
I made this call after reading Shadowbane, which has similar wording.

The next time a source of your choice would deal damage to you or a creature you control this turn, prevent that damage. If damage from a black source is prevented this way, you gain that much life.
This card can prevent damage to multiple creatures if that damage is dealt all at the same time, so I would assume that Harm's Way could as well. That said, as far as I know there is not a specific rule that says one way or the other on this, therefore we may need to wait for the FAQ to be sure how this will work.
if it says to "you" or "a permanent you control", I would assume you can't prevent it to two permanents you control.
You assume incorrectly. The damage is all dealt at the same time, so you can pick and choose the 2 points of damage that you would like to prevent, even if they're hitting different targets.
I believe Tau has the right conclusion... Since there's no differentiating the damage that is dealt... (in the OP's scenario, 4 damage all at once) you are preventing the "next two"
Who's to say that the damage doesn't hit the bears in a 1-1, 2-2 fasion, therefore the FIRST two damage is one to each bear?
It doesn't! Therefore, you should be able to prevent two damage.
Side note:
Let's say you attack me with a Phage the Untouchable and three 2/2 tokens.
If I play 2 Healing Salve's... do I still die from Phage? No, because I get to choose which of the 10 damage (THAT's ALL DEALT AT ONCE) is prevented... otherwise I would always die to Phage.
That's the same scenario... who's to say what damage is dealt first? there isn't any
"set order" to the damage, it's all there at once.

Speaking of which, how about if you Harm's Way Phage's damage back at her controller? She damages both of you at the same time.

Um...
Phage dealt combat damage to two players simultaneously. Phage's controller will control both triggered abilities, and since they reached the stack at the same time, he can order them as he chooses.

Yeah, though if you can manage to prevent the last of the damage some how it could be a pretty fun way to win. Especially if you have 2 harm's ways in multiplayer. Use one to kill the controller, and one to kill another player.
This card is pretty solid. I don't want to say amazing just b/c it is a rather small spell, and I don't see this card alone determining victories (except the occasional epic combat trick). Incredible for 1 mana. 9/10. Get a playset, although I don't see the price going up.
Which makes it really funny with ahypnotic spectre and you send it over to the Hyppie's controller.
Yeah, I like that.
Hypnotic Specter has to deal damage to an opponent for the discard, not a player. So that doesn't work. Harm's Way is still amazing. It is an instant, protects stuff, and you can split the protection so you can save multiples.
OR forcing your opponent to lose half of his or her life, rounded down from his own Quietus Spike'd creature. o.o

Can Harm's way redirect the damage from a creature source to two recipeints? In other words, can I redirect damage from a Tidehollow Strix to two other creatures killing them?
If that doesn't work, what if you double block the Stirx with two flying men could I prevent and redirect the two damage to two targets?

Is that right?
Jesus, it looks even more broken now!
This is also my opinion about both being right and "more broken". (not that it was broken in the first place)

The player of Phage's controller's choice will lose the game first.
Then the game will immediately end.

Or even better send it back at the hippie so you never have to deal with him again.
