Ok how exactly does these interact. The way i understand it is that if you hit a card with imprint using the Welder there is no point, and that doesnt make any sense.
Well, to state what may be the blindingly obvious, it'd be useful for removing them from an opponent's graveyard so they can't be returned by any means. Obviously not as common as creature recursion, but not without precedent either.

Linked abilities, like those on all three cards you listed, often refer to a card determined in one ability with another. Even if an object somehow has five imprint abilities, the imprinted cards won't be used by other imprint abilities.
Quote from Linked Abilities rules »
607. Linked Abilities
607.1. An object may have two abilities printed on it such that one of them causes actions to be taken or objects to be affected and the other one directly refers to those actions or objects. If so, these two abilities are linked: the second refers only to actions that were taken or objects that were affected by the first, and not by any other ability.
. . .
607.2a If an object has an activated or triggered ability printed on it that instructs a player to exile one or more cards and an ability printed on it that refers either to "the exiled cards" or to cards "exiled with [this object]," these abilities are linked. The second ability refers only to cards in the exile zone that were put there as a result of an instruction to exile them in the first ability.
What about turning imprinting an equipment with Myr Welder? Can you equip a creature to another creature? (not like the equipped creature will get the equipment bonus from Myr Welder)

I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums
Cards that don't have the Equipment subtype can't be equipped to other cards.
Equipment that's a creature can't be equipped to a creature. See Ensouled Scimitar.

301.5c An Equipment that's also a creature can't equip a creature. An Equipment that loses the subtype "Equipment" can't equip a creature. An Equipment can't equip itself. An Equipment that equips an illegal or nonexistent permanent becomes unattached from that permanent but remains on the battlefield. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
it feels the linked abilities entry is a little different in this situation. because the Myr has an imprint ability that can be used after he gains the "mimic vat" ability, i look forward to the FAQ on this set. because what they did was preventing like panoptic mirror becoming Scepter and casting its gigantic spells for 2 mana.

No. No no no no no no. I posted the rules earlier in this thread. This isn't something you have to wait for the FAQ for. This is how the card works. Deal with it.
(Yes, back when Mirrodin first came out, for a little while the linked abilities rules didn't keep you from cross-imprinting if you copied another card, but that's been remedied).
*edit* Made my first post a little easier to see as you're scrolling down...
Just to clarify and simplify, at the moment the coolest things the Welder can do are:
1-Act as #5-8 of whatever artifact with a neat activated ability (Myr Galvanizer for example) your deck needs, providing that artifact doesn't require charge counters or a linked ability function.
2-Voltron itself into an infinite engine using Soliton and Khalni Gem. Just add any artifact with a tap and/or mana-cost activated ability for super hijinks
If I have a Welder imprint a couple of artifacts, and then imprint Myr Propagator. When I tap to propagate, the copy I make should have all of the abilities of the first one, right? Could be some epic silliness with Soliton + Gem + Golem Artisan + the Propagator + Mindslaver all imprinted on a Welder (of course, once you have the first three you have an infinity/infinity flying trample so the rest of the combo is ludicrous, but meh).

When you copy a card, you only copy copiable values. What cards are imprinted are not copiable values.
The way I was taught was that you take the card (sans counters, etc) and make a photocopy, and put that onto the battlefield. So your ArbitrarilyLarge/ArbitrarilyLarge Flying Trampler will have to do.

A few questions:
a) If Isochron Scepter is imprinted on Myr Welder, will it's ability refer to the same exiled cards as Myr Welder's second ability?
If the answer is yes, then one can use Isochron Scepter's ability to cast a copy of any spell imprinted on Myr Welder, including Isochron Scepter. So...
b) What happens when a copy of a permanent spell resolves? Does it create a token. Does it create a non-token permanent that isn't represented by a card? Does the spell fail to resolve?
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
A few questions:
a) If Isochron Scepter is imprinted on Myr Welder, will it's ability refer to the same exiled cards as Myr Welder's second ability?
No. The second ability on Isochron Scepter is linked to the first ability on Isochron Scepter. "The exiled card" refers to the card that was exiled with Isochron Scepter's imprint ability, which Myr Welder doesn't have.

The Myr Welder can get charge counters through artifacts it takes (Lux Cannon is the first to come to mind...also, Titan Forge...though it's not as good.)
Scenario:
Myr Welder & Khalni Gem in a graveyard
a fully active non summoning sick necrotic ooze
what abilities will Necrotic ooze have if it uses the myr welder ability to exile the gem?
my thinking is none because ooze does not copy static abilities but since the inprint ability is linked to welders second static ability I felt the need to ask.
Follow up question, when a permanent that is temporarily an artifact goes to the grave is it possible to imprint it with myr welder?

It has every activated ability of every creature card in a graveyard, and the ability it's printed with.
Using Myr Welder's ability would tend to decrease the utility of a Necrotic Ooze, specifically, every time you take an artifact creature card with an activated ability out of a graveyard with it.

It depends what you mean by 'temporarily'. I can think of no effect in the game which would apply to change a card in a graveyard into an artifact and also could have done that to a permanent, except for ones generated by static abilities, like the one on Mycosynth Lattice. An effect which began to apply to a permanent would tend not to apply to a card in a graveyard, since it's not the same object. If only that effect makes the permanent an artifact, then that effect can't be one which makes the card in a graveyard artifact. But maybe I just can't think of a particular card which has two parts for just this purpose. It depends what you mean by 'temporarily'.

thank you for the reply, but you did not answer the question on what abilities would the ooze have when exiling the Khalni Gem.
can the ooze having imprinted Khalni Gem be able to tap for 2 mana of any color
No. The Ooze only has the Myr Welder's activated ability that exiles artifacts from a graveyard. It does not have its second, static ability, therefore it does not actually gain anything from the artifacts it exiles.
the rules say that equipments that are creatures cant equip things and that if equipments loose the equipment sup type they cant equip but the myr welder doesn't become an equipment when it exiles one. its a creature that has gained an equip ability. so wouldn't that mean it could actually equip something ?
Functionally, there is no difference between a permanent that was never an equipment, and a permanent that lost the sub type Equipment. In other words, no, it can not equip something.
Perhaps this would be the better rule to quote when people ask about this guy:
704.5q If a creature is attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the
battlefield. Similarly, if a permanent that’s neither an Aura, an Equipment, nor a Fortification is
attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the battlefield.

a) If Isochron Scepter is imprinted on Myr Welder, will it's ability refer to the same exiled cards as Myr Welder's second ability?
If the answer is yes, then one can use Isochron Scepter's ability to cast a copy of any spell imprinted on Myr Welder, including Isochron Scepter. So...
b) What happens when a copy of a permanent spell resolves? Does it create a token. Does it create a non-token permanent that isn't represented by a card? Does the spell fail to resolve?
No. The second ability on Isochron Scepter is linked to the first ability on Isochron Scepter. "The exiled card" refers to the card that was exiled with Isochron Scepter's imprint ability, which Myr Welder doesn't have.

can the ooze having imprinted Khalni Gem be able to tap for 2 mana of any color
and the temporarily being an artifact would be likely due to liquid metal coating the permanent while it is on the battlefield.
