Hey. So Evolve is the new Simic keyword, and the example card we have is Simic Fluxmage. So, assume you have a Fluxmage with one +1/+1 counter on it, and then you cast a Slippery Bogle. My question is, does Evolve trigger regardless of whether the card has a higher P/T than Fluxmage or not? (Does it only check this condition on resolution?) If this is the case, in response to Evolve triggering, can you activate Fluxmage's ability, moving its counter onto the Bogle and thus ensuring it will have a higher power than the Fluxmage by the resolution of Evolve?
Or, much less interestingly, does Evolve only initially trigger if the new creature has a higher power or toughness?
The wording of Evolve contains an intervening "if" clause. This means the ability only triggers if the "if" condition is met, and it only does something on resolution if that "if" condition is met again.
The CR update that will come with GTC's release will be the final authority, but based on current convention, this is how I see it.

Epochalyptik from http://tappedout.net/ EDH isn't about what you play, it's about who you play with.
The above answer is correct. While it's true that we don't have actual official evolve rules yet, the templating is an intervening if clause and those always work the same. It won't trigger at all if the creature coming in to play is smaller in p/t and it checks again on resolution.
