The past couple years have given us some Planeswalkers that are, so far, one and done. Same for other supplemental product like Conspiracy (I think... I'm tired, not doin' the research, heh...). Ok, so if you think we'll see any of the fresh faces, what ones would you like to see get a new, fresh coat of paint for War of the spark?
And after starting this post, have another somewhat-related question: Do we anticipate any evil/anarchistic Planeswalkers siding w/ Bolas? If so, who do we think will be the mole or the henchman to Bolas?
So, recap:
Question 1: New faces: yay or nay and speculation for "yay" answers.
Question 2: Any speculation targets for evil Planeswalkers on Bolas's side?
There are only four new planeswalkers with cards in War of the spark, and he was printed in the Global Series first. The three others are completely unknowns, although one of them *can* be the other planeswalker from the same product as the first.
We know the name of another of the new planeswalkers, as he was recently introduced in a novel. So no, none of the commanders from supplemental products outside of the Chinese ones and the ones who have already appeared will make an appearance.
As for who will side with Bolas, I can not think of anyone besides the ones we already know: Lily, Kaya, Domri, Dovin, Ral, and Vraska. And of those, I fully expect Domri and Vraska to turn on the elder dragon. As for the other villainous planeswalkers, I can't see either Ob Nixilis or Nahiri siding with Bolas. Ob is way to egotistical to allow anyone but himself to rule, and Nahiri only became villainous after suffering a psychotic break due to Sorin's actions. The new planeswalkers are an unknown however.
I fully expect at least Vraska to turn on Bolas when given the opportunity, particularly if Jace restores her memory. Several planeswalkers will die, and sadly I think the three sacrifices are going to be Jaya, Gideon, and Vraska.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Technically, Ob Nixilis, Teferi and Nahiri are there and had their first planeswalkers card printed in a commander product and Kaya was first introduced in Conspiracy 2, so... Yeah...
As for the others:
Freyalise is dead.
Daretti had been depicted in the Mythic Edition as well as Dack, but neither of them were portrayed in Ravnica nor in the glass windows (they were depicted in Kaladesh and Fiora respectively).
Lord Windgrace is dead.
Aminatou is so stupidly overpowered in the lore (because the designer had some kind of creepy idea about children being cosmic forces of nature of things like that) that the less they use her, the better.
They already have and it looks like a lot of the side-set walkers where put in those sets as set up for War. I think the commander 2018 and Battlebound pair might have been made after War was finalized so too late to put them in. We are also gonna see more walkers in the story who aren't getting a card so more could also show up just cardless.

Would love to see a little more of Estrid, tho.
Lol where do you get you idea bud, they are a hoot.
EDIT: Re-read Luhrs article and ya still a hoot. She says that as a joke and has nothing to do with Aminatou powers.
“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
We know all 36 planeswalkers that are getting cards, because we have seen their arts. Of those, there are either three or four that have never received a planeswalker card before - Azorius Shepherd Lady, Davriel Kane, Teyo Verada, and Raiden-Hat Lady. Raiden-Hat Lady may actually be Mu Yanling though and therefore would not be "new" (she shares white hair, an Asian aesthetic, and a ribbon-y energy projection). Davriel and Teyo are known from recent stories, leaving the Shepherd Lady as the only unknown.
Because of so many knowns, we know that Nahiri, Ob Nixilis, and Teferi, all of whom first got Planeswalker cards in Commander, will have cards. We also know Kaya, who first appeared in Conspiracy 2, will. But we know that Freyalise, Daretti, the four C18 Planeswalkers, the Kenrith twins, and Dack Fayden will not appear.
Now, this does not preclude these characters from showing up in the story (apart from known dead people like Freyalise and Windgrace), as MaRo has said that there will be walkers who are story-relevant who do not get cards.

She is insanely powerful though, and I think that is hilarious. She can quite literally rewrite peoples individual timelines. Heck, she foresaw her future and learned that she had a spark and would eventually become a planeswalker, but she didn't want to wait, so she rewrote her own timeline so she had already activated her spark. Thus becoming the canonically youngest planeswalker. Being able to rewrite destinies and timelines on a whim is an incredibly overpowered ability, and I am glad she does not have any red in her.
I am looking forward to the day we visit her homeplane (based of West Africa from what I can gather, compared to north eastern Africa in Mirage block)

I think Aminatou would work far better if she just looked like a little girl and was not actually a Franklin Richards Expy although Franklin never uses his power so maybe Legion is the better analogy.

3 of the 2018 Commander Planeswalker will not appear. Saheeli will be there.
We know that Dack will be there too from the Greg Weisman interview. He stated that Ob, Karn and Dack Fayden will work together. Dack Fayden doesn't get a Planeswalker representation but could be presented in some artwork.
