Oh I’m so dumb there may have Ben a prediction and I didn’t even realize it
How about the finishing the lair cycle with wedge lair lands
And commander 2020 can reprint the other 5
Ooh! Ooh! Wait. "Lair Of Behemoths" has the word OF in it! So I predict a cycle of split cards linked by the word "Of". Like... Waste//Time, or maybe Leap//Logic.

Can I just spend a moment to say that retort is beautiful? Like, I want to print it out and hang it on my mantle beautiful? Thank you for keeping things in perspective.
Just hoping we don't get some infinite shenanigans...whenever you mutate, mutate! Or even whenever your opponent mutates, mutate.
I imagine they will try and weed out those things. Even though there is an occasional slip up in R&D, we haven't had a mistake that bad in awhile. They're doing a decent job.
What I would find interesting, especially with how one would keep track of something such as this, is if mutate effected the card and not the permanent.
Put an aura on the creature and the create dies, both go to the graveyard.
Equip a creature with equipment and the creature dies, the equipment falls on the battlefield.
Perhaps mutating a creature will stay with that creature even if it is bounced and recast; killed and reanimated? There have been a few legends with similar abilities, like that one zombie, the experience counter commanders, or Mairsil, the Pretender, but never multiple creatures doing such things marketed in the same deck.

Well there is theory going around with a functional reprint of oubliette in Ikoria so the counter stay after it comes back

I would imagine they share the same properties as +1/+1 counters, for example. I feel like it is easier to track if the creature loses those abilities after it leaves the battlefield.
Now that we know the mechanics, I'm hoping we get a human/mutant biomancer lord that says "you may mutate human creatures as if they were non-human creatures."

"Whenever this creature attacks, mutate."
"[Activated Mana Ability]: Mutate."
"Whenever another creature dies, Mutate."

And first one ever is silver border and let’s you draw whenever you mutate something
And it’s a 5-color legendary so this will be a all color thing probably
