One, reprints have to keep the same name, and an oubliette is not particularly Greek in origin. It's a French word.
Two, cards in Standard-legal sets follow the modern color pie and the ability is now a white ability, not a black ability.
That's why it's not in Theros Beyond Death. I am happy to say we found a way to template it so it can fit on a card (that's the real reason we haven't done it for so long), and it is planned to be reprinted in an upcoming product.
Welp it’s happening my money is on commander legends
Yeah, most likely commander legends even if the card doesn't really cry commander to me they will most likely throw a bone to pauper in this set. It will be a common or uncommon and it is good removal for that range. Some Mono black commander could run it as exile option against hard to deal stuff. There is Zur the Enchanter, too.
It should be reprinted in an non-standard set, because of the color-pie thingy. Commander Legend would be the earliest set for it.
My guess printed as a rare in some ancillary product. Won't be enough copies to bring the price down any significant amount. Will remain in the 20-30 dollar range. Pauper players will still have problems finding paper copies.

I can pick one up right now for $16. The price has crashed based entirely on the "announcement" that it is getting printed without knowing anything about when. There is no way that any actual supply doesn't lower the price of the card to below $10 and probably even lower than that.
Where? Link provided please. I may look into buying. It has been counterfeited so I would be wary though.

I am assuming Heavy Play so it may not even be playable sleeved?

I will pass on TCGplayer. I have zero trust in that site. Most don't have pictures of the cards either. Someones "Light Play" will be Moderate to Heavy play most every time. Ragged out near unplayable damaged cards at 10 to 15 bucks are comparing apples to oranges. When a light play or unplayed copy drops below 20 bucks I will consider.
Regardless, thank you for the link.

I seem to have missed something in our exchange here. You made some inane comment about the reprint probably doing nothing to quell the price (at least, not to a low enough price to matter). I was simply pointing out that was wrong. The announcement has already dropped prices and my assertion was that the actual reprint would drop them further. I am not telling you to buy anything. TCGPlayer works fine for a lot of people and it is a reasonable indicator of market price since stores are generally slow to lower prices but individuals are not. Your distrust doesn't change the fact that the prices have halved.
Since TCGPlayer isn't good enough (I chose them since they were the cheapest I could find), CardKingdom has them for $20 (near mint) and $17 (excellent/lightly played). Whether either of these places are good enough for *you* is, frankly, immaterial as this shows that the prices are already dropping.
Again, I am not suggesting that you buy into them if you don't need them. In fact, what I am suggesting would the exact opposite of that. The price will continue to fall as people sell out of them until they reach a plateau (perhaps half the original price is that plateau for now) and then the actual reprint will cause them to go lower. There is no way a reprint causes prices to go back *up* from here (not in the short term anyway).

Thanks for the insult too. Classless. Just another member to join my ignore list, don't bother with a reply.

Thanks(genuinely) for the heads up. Small numbers of these won't drop the price much if indeed Oubliette is to be in a Lair Drop. Original copies of Oubliette A or B will hold their value for the most part in LP to EX condition as there aren't many out there to be had as most copies seem to be in HP to damaged condition. If it is in a Lair Drop it will more than likely be sold for 20 bucks or more as a single. I will wait to see what happens here. Appreciate the heads-up.

Guess away at where we will spot it
It should be reprinted in an non-standard set, because of the color-pie thingy. Commander Legend would be the earliest set for it.
It's also unfortunately possible that it will be another Secret Lair drop. Maybe "Secret Lair **** You All".

There are 3 for under $16 (taxes not included obviously).
EDIT: That is Lightly played. If you are fine with Heavy Played, you can get down to almost $13
Regardless, thank you for the link.
