With the addition of the Fancy new Snow card frame, I would like to believe (and really hope) we get some reprints from across Magic's Snowy history to repurpose some of the older snow cards and make them pretty. While I'm sure everyone would love a fancy reprint of Scrying Sheets, I'm even interested in things like Abominable Treefolk and Ohran Viper getting the snow frame treatment. Additionally, there are old spells that care about snow, such as Dead of Winter and Into the North; does anyone know if these will be oracle'd to become Snow spells?
I mainly ask this because I love the new Snow treatment, and would love to see some of these cards remade. Perhaps in Modern Horizons 2, snow will continue to be a theme; maybe switching to Black/Blue or Black/Green this time? What would even be better would be if Wizards made a dedicated Commander Precon to Snow. With the Snow lands reprinted in a standard set, as well as common snow duals, they could easily justify creating such a deck.
My theory (based mostly on wishing) is that they will put out some more snow in the coming year, in either Commander or MH2.
Dead of winter I could see getting a snow supertype, into the north not so much since while it does reference snow its going into snow not made or becoming snow.
As for card frames, yeah that be really nice to see them reprint some of the older cards with the frosty new boarder.
I wouldn't count on it considering this was printed in the very same set. They clearly could have made them snow if they wanted to. (Only thing I can think is they were trying to keep that as something new to show off in Kaldheim. )

yes but however that was before snow instants/sorceries existed kaldheim introduces snow to non-permanent spells

No, I completely understand that. Is there any prior example where they granted an old an enitrely new supertype via errata?

To my knowledge I think it was mainly subtypes like Phyrexian and Noble, for example, although I think they could do it with minimal damage to gameplay.
Also, it feels weird to have snow matters cards that aren't "snow" themselves. It feels very inconsistent.
I mean its the "make the nephilim legendary" issues, so they likely won't do it.

When coldsnap camp out, they included the reprint Frozen Solid and there was a big long discussion about why they "can't" change the functionality of cards that much. Same thing came up when tribal spells were introduced.
I feel like dead of winter would have had the snow super type if they wanted it to- were they designing Kaldheim in the final stages of MH or has it been that long since MH?
I'm with you. I would love to see them drop snow on a bunch of appropriate cards, but they're very cautious with the snow supertype.

What do you think?

They could; and honestly they should. I feel like we've had discontinuity in the Snow cards and it would be good to have consistency across the board.
This is also why I think a snow Commander deck would be greatly beneficial to rework a lot of the older cards to the new standard.
