I noticed there was one of these for both Kaldheim and Strixhaven and now that Strixhaven is out, I thought one for AFR would be fun.
Starting off for awhile now I thought that AFR wouldn't have Planeswalkers because planar travel works so differently in D&D and they weren't going to merge the multiverses. Add to that Kaldheim and Strixhaven have an unusually large amount of Planeswalkers (9 between two none core sets, and some Planeswalker reprints in the Commander Decks), I thought they were making up for AFR not having any.
But then the unearthed Arcana came out with playtest Chromatic Dragonborn, Metallic Dragonborn, and Gem Dragonborn, Kobold variant, Feats, and Dragon Themed Spells. The lore was all Forgotten Realms, except for one, Fizban's Platinum Shield, Firban is a human Wizard from Dragonlance who is also an avatar of Paladine.
It dawned on me that if AFR has Planeswalkers after all, at least some will have to come from another setting as per Planeswalker tradition, but they can't use MtG Planeswalkers like Jace or Chandra, they have no way ti get to FR!
So it occurred to me that Fizban the Fabulous might be a Planeswalker for the AFR set and his Fizban's Platinum Shield will likely be an instant or Sorcery in AFR.
And if Fizban is a Planeswalker, then you know Mordenkaiken, the Archwizard from Oerth who is currently on Toril will be a Planeswalker too. Other Planeswalkers might be Elminister, Drizzt, Nazram the World Walker, Tasha/Iggwilv.
I was also reminded by fellow on reddit of the spell Dream of the Blue Veil in Tasha's Couldron of Everything, which weirdly I had forgotten. The spell allows you to teavel between D&D worlds on the material plane, it screamed MtG and it wasn't a pqrticularly practical spell and it felt out if place in TCoE.
I expect a vanilla or french vanilla creature with the typeline "Creature- Bird Bear"
I expect a white or blue blink dog that's literally a 2/2 dog for 2 that flickers itself for 3-4 mana.
I expect a reprint of bag of holding and potentially ring of three wishes (or maybe a MV 6 equipment with the same effect built in called "luck blade")
I hope that we get another kobold.
I hope that we get a mythic card witht he name "Planeshift".
I hope that we get tiemstop as a reprint (as this set is taking the place of a core set, getting more reprints than normal may make sense).
I predict at least one black elf to represent drow.
There is no chance in hell that we aren't getting Drizzt
Below this is two previous UAs I believe will be in the same book and which I believe is a Faerun Campaign World Book that will tie into the AFR MtG set.

I agree about Drizxt and would even expand that to the Companions of the Hall.
I think your right about Bag of Holding, but I think the set will be new cards in the vast majority, so reprints will be limited. Some of the new cards I expect with be very iconic D&D stuff and FR lore based, but I think some will be stuff from the UAs which mostly habe FR flavour.
I'm going on a limb but maybe a reprint of good ol' Fireball. I'd also like to see a card for Rope Trick. Maybe an until-end-of-turn exile perhaps? Or, maybe, a return target creature to its owner's hand, then at the end of turn that creature's controller puts it on the battlefield from their hand. I don't know if it would be templated like that but it's still a cool angle to go about creating a "Safe space."

I think maybe they will do Delayed Fireball instead, like maybe when you cast it, it goes into exile, but next time you or a Planeswalker is attacked, it goes into effect, damaging the attackers.
I think the spell Gate will act like learn on steroids.
Meteor shower, Summon Dragon Spirit, or True Polymorph will lilely be Red's Mythic Rare none creature card.
Antimagic Field will be interesting to convert as will Mirror Image.
Metamagic could be cool, but I'm not sure what card type it would be perhaps a new one.
I think it would be pretty cool if the characters that were invented for the 3rd ed books got cards, like Regdar and Mialee, they were always funny.
Maybe the Eye and Hand of Vecna as some cool legendary artifacts that do something together.
I think they should be careful about which characters are planeswalkers, Drizzt would make more sense as a creature.
Agreed, maybe even as the face card of AFR Commander Deck, but the ending of the last trilogy hinted that "Planeswalking" might be possible. Still I doubt it, I think Mord, Fizbin, and Elminister are more likely, although Nazram World Walker is a strong possiblity as its part of his MO.
The 3e PHB characters are all Greyhawk, so the only way one of them gets into a Forgotten Realms set is as Planeswalker.
The Hand and Eye of Vecna are going to be in the D&D movie, which is set in FR despite Vecna not being an FR God (although that hasn't stopped him from visiting and effecting FR), The Hand and Eye of Vecna like to travel between worlds, so its made stops in FR before.
I might be late to the party but I think the return of quests from og zendikar and experience counters would be awesome. I don’t know how it’d work but I think a mechanic that works a little bit like mutate but is class specific would be cool like instead of the non human restriction it would be only able to attach to a creature of the same class. I can see it be a tribal theme but it would be like building your character if that makes sense.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone

While that didn't happen it seems interesting.
