I don't quite understand, but was Kaldheim Angrath's homeworld?
Also, I don't think they do this without any reason. Ajani mentioned Dominaria on Kaladesh - and whoops, we are visiting Dominaria this year. This is something.
If Kaldheim becomes a set, I hope it's actually part of a super-plane composed of multiple interconnected planes, with Valla (MTG Asgard?) being another.

That's a really cool idea. I think when they do the Viking set, they won't be able to avoid the mythology of Yggdrasil and the various worlds. I do believe is a viking set is going to happen, and might happen soon, and it might indeed be Kaldheim. If that's the case, Kaldheim might not even be the main plane; it could be more like the Jotunheim equivalent. I'm pretty stoked about this concept.

Could also be the Niflheim equivalent, I think? (I only have a passing knowledge of the Nine Worlds aspect of Norse mythology).
Also, I'm not the first person here to present the idea that Kaldheim might be one of many parts of a larger planar cluster (as I like to call the concept). It'd be kinda like Alara, only that's how it's supposed to be rather than something that has to pieced back together again.
alison luhrs said on twitter that kaldheim is not angrath's home plane and that it just happened to be "nearby" when he was trying to planeswalk. i honestly think the main reason it was chosen was because it features wayne england art and because it's noticeably different from any recent planes.

Honestly, if they wanted different, I would have gone with Iquatana, Pyrulea or Belenon (the plane with Windriddle Palaces and Edge of Malacol), but the artist thing would definitely cement it if that's true (though I'd ask why the artist matters).

wayne england passed away in 2016. he was a longtime magic artist and did art for lots of other games too. his unfinished art was featured on promotional unstable products as a memorial. he is generally missed.

Is Wizards trolling us?!? Is Kaldheim the 2018 set?!?
Baseless so far, but it would not be the first time...

We don't know, but we at least know that he's been there before.
Not enough to build a real argument over. I’d rather be conservative in where I post

I wouldn't be surprised if we got a set located there in the near future.
(W/U)(B/R)GForm of Progenitus, Shape of a Scrubland
BRGJund Tokens with Prossh, the Magic Dragon Foil
URGAnimar, the RUG CleanerFoil
RRRFeldon of the Third Path 2.0 Foil
BG(B/G)Not Another Meren DeckFoil
UR(U/R)Mizzix, Y Control and X Burn Spells
(W/U)(B/R)GHarold Ramos - The 35 Foot Long Twinkie (In +1/+1 counters)
UB(U/B)Dragonlord Silumgar
That’s what I’m thinking. Yet who would it feature?
Maybe it’s the place Nissa Escapes to if she’s not on Dominaria or Zendikar post-Bolas defeat.
