Is it possible WotC has something hidden about A25? Have they ever not revealed something about a set before it released? Treasure cards from Zendikar come to mind. Just something that has been in the back of my mind...
They could have lied about the spoilers and they actually print sought after valuable rares/mythics...
What, you mean like Imperial Recruiter and Rishadan Port, both cards in dire need of a reprint and commanding large pricetags? Those were basically the two cards I was most expecting to see in this set.

There are redemptive qualities in some commons/uncommons, but I was talking about the average rares/mythics. Don't get me wrong, the draft chaff from this set is legit, but the distribution of value between the rares/mythics could be a little more even. They gave use both Akromas after an FTV printing, ditto Armageddon. There could have been another walker, but they missed IMO on a lot possibly reprints.
Now on the contrary, they could have planned for said better reprints in the next masters, but it's enough to leave some skeptical.

If you choose to focus on the bad, you're obviously going to have a more negative view of the set than if you choose to focus on the good. Every masters set, bar none, has had some clunkers at both rare and Mythic. Modern Masters 2 had the most non-clunker Mythics (with Comet Storm being the only real one), but in return it had one of the lowest-value set of rares of any Masters set. People were fairly outraged like that, and in the Masters sets since they've done a better job of spreading the value over both Rare and Mythic. But the flip side of that is that not every Mythic can be value.
Overall I think the Mythic distribution is pretty solid here. You have 5 "Jackpot" Mythics (>$25 tcgmid): Jace, Recruiter, Chalice, Bridge, Clique. You have 5 "Solid" Mythics ($5-20): Obliterator, Animar, Wild Hunt, Gisela, and Doomsday, and then you have 5 "Junk" Mythics (<$5): Armageddon, Tree of Redemption, both Akromas, and Prossh.
And just about every one of these mythics has some group of people who are big fans. The Jackpot ones are all Legacy staples and all but Recruiter are played in Modern too. Obliterator is a casual favorite with just one printing. Animar, Gisela, and Prossh are all Commander staples, and this is the first time Prossh is available in Foil. Doomsday is one of those cult Legacy decks that people try to make work even when it's awful, and this is the first time Doomsday is foil. Master of the Wild Hunt is Legacy-played, it comes in in Midrange Mirrors because it generates a ton of value if not immediately removed and dodges Abrupt Decay and Kolaghan's Command. The Akromas are very popular cards - despite not being worth much because of multiple printings, they're still sought after and I'm sure if I open one I can find someone who wants it. And Tree of Redemption is a card that garnered meme status the first time it was around. And Armageddon always has its fans.
Could they have left out the "junk" and put in higher value stuff instead? Sure. But the set would have had to have lost value somewhere else. They could have swapped Ravages of War in over Armageddon for a straight value boost, but they would have lost Geddon's iconic status and would have had to find somewhere to shave EV in the rest of the set.

The singles prices will speak for themselves in two months.
Furthermore, we need those who believe in the value of the set to draft or otherwise purchase sealed product of the set in order to take the financial hit so the rest of us can enjoy cheaper singles. I'm done trying to convince people of how bad this set is. They can burn their money so the rest of us can profit.

I fully understand the reasons for janky/bulk rare cards but they keep doing really odd things for your above mentioned reasons, and it arouses the salt of others. I started out super hype for the set, and over time the novelty of it wore off. I had said in the main spoiler thread pretty much your exact point about decent U/Cs.
As far as casual home-runs, there are scores of Planeswalkers that could have been in as mythics; Elspeth, Sun's Champion comes to mind among others that could evoke that same fandom that the Akromas do. They definitely are proving that their Masters sets are more open ended and aimed at pulling in all format players instead of just Modern - which may be why they seem to be pulling into so many demographics for 'EV'. Iconic had the same feeling and I have a feeling the Masters sets of the future are going to follow that trend. If they go in that direction, that's fine, but the price of the pacts shouldn't be as high as they are.
I'm not dwelling on the negatives, I was probably the first person in line/hyped over getting a Prossh and Animar in foil. In hindsight I get that my comment seems induced by salt, but it's just a slight at junky mythics more than anything. I'm of the mindset that mythic rarity is kinda dumb; Given that most of the time the cards that have the higher rarity are really not limited bombs or even worth the rarity. It seems backward to have the cards that are harder to get be worth less than cards at a rare, uncommon or common level. I understand why it's made that way it just seems counterproductive. Getting 1, 2 or 3 in a box chance at an Imperial Recruiter sure; having the same chance at pulling a Doomsday seems really weak. Also I get having certain cards at lower rarity kills draft and limited (getting Armageddoned more than once would flip many tables), but even with that model in mind people still get crazy pulls and others get junk.

Well, you can be all the sunshine and rainbows you want. The biggest issue with the set is they sold a 120 dollar draft set for 240 dollars MSRP and have basically done it twice in a row now. Everyone I know has cancelled their box order and has resorted to buying the singles they want instead because it's too expensive to warrant drafting and there's a bitterness going about with the entire mythic lottery game.

I actually disagree on reprints like Imperial Recruiter and commander cards. It would be better in a different product. They don't really have real demand per se. Just their supply were really low. This should be a product celebrating MTG, not just about reprinting fringe cards. So many slots were wasted. At the same time the limited environment seems pretty bad. So many questionable choices at rare and mythic for so many reasons.
The commons and uncommons were fine choices overall. Maybe they missed some cool cards like Astral Slide. Overall not bad but not enough to cover the badness of the rare/mythic selection. I am happy that Rishadan Port is rare thou. I think lot of people wouldn't be surprised if it was mythic.
It would be a nice surprise to see something else being added in the packs. Maybe original version of cards would be cool. Not a reprint, the originals. It would be a logistic nightmare to include in many packs to be noticeable (not hidden treasure rates), but I'd appreciate this set more even with all negativity if they go the extra mileage.
However, judging for the lack of care for this special set, I'd not even hold a candle for the printing quality as well.

That seems a bit low. I think I used Card Kingdom when I did the numbers and it came out a bit over 230 dollars. I'd expect the EV per box to drop to around 220ish by day 3. In any case, that's kind of why the booster boxes are dropping fast on TCG player. The boxes without shipping online are going for around 165-166 dollars, which comes to around 173 dollars shipped. I'd say anyone who got in at 160 dollars is probably okay, but that's a pretty brutal price to sell a box that is 240 msrp when taking into account the distributor cost to the store.

So wait. You agree that the current price of the box is within $10 or so of the MSRP? How then are you complaining that this is a "$120 draft set being sold for $240?"

Agreed. You can list all the expensive cards you want, just don't forget that you're only gonna average 2 per box.
I still call for the end of mythic print levels in masters sets. Print the top end as rares, all at equal printings, and you'll see much better results.

Here's the thing, when analyzing a set like this, the factors at play are how many of the cards are bulk, how many see multi-format competitive play and can hold a price, and which ones are only high priced because of the scarcity. Modern Masters 2015 was bemoaned by many because it had a lot of bulk in the set compared to the prior modern masters 2013, but what gave that set legs is that the mythics were good and played in modern (holy smokes, I forgot Karn was 30 dollars then), and the number of decent rares among the bulk that was present.
Masters 25 has more bulk in it than Modern Masters 2015 and the cards of high value are mostly EDH or fringe played items. There are gems, but comparing the two sets MM2015 still had more good cards in it even in the scope of it's point of release thanks to the competitive play aspect.
So two sets, both coming out the gate with similar MSRP: Which one do you think provably is going to hold better in value than the other? MM2015 or M25? Long term MM2015 can actually hold it's value. The same can't be said of M25, which is why it probably should have been sold at a lower MSRP to the stores. Calling it a 120 draft set might be a bit much, but it's really like a 150-170 dollar set. This isn't even getting into the lotto aspects.
Also holy smokes looking at karn at 30 back then is just reminding me of how absolutely horrible wizards is at keeping cards from rocketing into the moon. It's like they just don't care if the pro-tour advertises a tron deck.

And then on top of that they threw in Chalice of the Void, Blood Moon, Ensnaring Bridge, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Vendillion Clique, Phyrexian Obliterator, Pact of Negation, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, the enemy Filters, Animar, Soul of Elements, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Summoner's Pact - and those are just the cards worth more than a pack at MSRP.
There's also multiple $5 uncommons like Cursecatcher and Street Wraith and $2-3 uncommons like Simian Spirit Guide, Utopia Sprawl, Boros Charm, Ash Barrens, Ancient Stirrings, Lightning Bolt.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

Saffron Olive did an article a while back talking about Modern Masters 2015 that you might find interesting. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/the-expected-value-of-modern-masters-2015.
