MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Selesnya
Convoke - Is the only returning mechanic in Guilds of Ravnica. There will be effects like "Whenever you convoke, do something for each creature you tapped."
Boros
Mentor - When this attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on a creature with lesser power.
Dimir
Surveil N - Like scry, but the card may go to graveyard instead of bottom of library.
Izzet
Jump-Start - Flashback with the additional cost of discarding a card.
Golgari
Undergrowth - Undergrowth abilities scale with the number of creatures in your graveyard.
I've heard about Undergrowth today before guild mechanics were revealed. Then it was confirmed.
So if rumors are true, Simic mechanic will be Volatile X (you may have this creature enter the battlefield with up to X +1/+1 counters on it. Its abilities depend on number of counters on it.)
Just FYI, I designed almost the same mechanic long time ago but the choice was between -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters).

Where did you heard that?
From a guy I barely know who got information from Reddit or 4chan, maybe
I’m actually wondering if Madness might be Rakdos’s mechanic (though it still may be too recently used to make a return). It’s a mechanic that’s high on the storm scale because the flavor accociated with it’s name doesn’t fit into many sets, not becasue it’s broken. To me it the flavor seems perfect for Rakdos and would synergize really well with jump-start.

It's more that Madness requires a lot of support to function properly. But yes, I could see Rakdos getting Madness, though I could also see them getting Morbid as it plays well into their usual suicide aggro strategy, not to mention it would encourage sac abilities and outlets which also feed Undergrowth.

Hmm, what if Rakdos got a mechanic that's like Madness, but works if the card is put into a graveyard from your hand or library? Basically, a Madness variant that works with Surveil as much as Jump-Start.

I just hope Rakdos doesn't get Unleash again. I'd be cool with Hellbent or near-hellbent as a key/ability word, but not Unleash. Although it is extremely aggro in concept and sort of fits BR quite well.
Or if they do, make more interesting cards for it.

I expect Rakdos to get a new mechanic. Madness would fit, but so would Morbid. I could even see something similar to Exploit. Whatever it is, it will most likely synergize with Gruul and Orzhov's mechanics. Gruul I suspect will be getting Bloodthirst again since they lost Enrage to Ixalan.
New idea for Rakdos:
Dramatic - Whenever ~ enters or leaves the battlefield, [effect].
The idea being that the Rakdos would have a flair for dramatic entrances and departures. Note that while the ability can work with sacrifice effects like Exploit, it also works with bouncing, flickering, and whatnot. In fact, it could prove quite strong with flickering since you'd get two triggers each time you flicker the creature.

The ability I like the least is Surveil.
But I need to play with them before I can really tell which is good or bad.

* Bloodthirst for Grull
* Detain for Azorius
Both have a Storm Scale Rating of 3 which is identical with Convoke for Selesnya.
* Unleash for Rakdos has a rating of 4.
* Evolve for Simic with a rating of 5.
Both have smaller chances and would only be revisited when one or bot storm 3 mechanics would not be revisited.
I can't see them rehashing more than 2 guild mechanics, so my money is on Bloodthirst and Detain.
Orzhov gets something new. Orzhov needs something new.
Hands to the sky
Give a round of applause
For the great Miss Y!
