Yes well, that's your opinion :p. EDH is awesome. You just have to have a good group of player who enjoy the format, and a willingness to just play for fun, rather than trying to play to win all the time, as people get so used to when it comes to tournament magic. The options for EDH are potentially limitless. You can build a goofy deck that helps everyone else, or one that messes with everyone equally. Any style of deck will do, and any style can be workable, especially given the often multi-player nature of the format.
I know a lot of people that have gotten burned out with normal tournament magic, and have switched to EDH over time, simply because it allows them to have more fun and enjoyment with the game again.

EDH is a fun format, but I'm burned out of EDH. I used to enjoy it a lot, I just got tired of constantly shuffling and facing the same decks over and over. Shuffling has become something I fear these days. I lose sleep for the day someone puts the artifact that forces you to just shuffle. *shudders*
My goal for this thread is to figure out what jeff looks like. It's always been a mystery to me!
(We've been drafting EDH decks lately... super fun.)

As for shuffling and EDH.... Yeah, I could see where that could be a problem if you played EDH a lot. I suppose I've usually just found creative ways to shuffle a 100-card sleeved deck without having to shuffle the entire deck at the same time (simple enough, yet complicated at the same time. Certainly more annoying than shuffling a normal sized deck though, to be sure :p.
Love EDH - hate the shuffling. Esp since I double-sleeve everything!
My fully altered deck gets the double sleeves but the Cube is just single... too big and bulky as is. But, with 8 people it really doesn't take that long.

Yeah, you grab stacks, shuffle, divide, and mix with other stacks. We can get the whole thing shuffled and broken into packs in about 10 minutes.
I once played against a gentleman from Japan who, I kid you not, TRIPLE-SLEEVED his legacy RUG deck. Apparently, it was perfect-fit + larger clear sleeve + kmc over that. Talk about protection...
Speaking of sleeves, I just bought another box for potential cube sleeving, looks like I'm KMC Matte-Black for life. Now if only I could get some more perfect-fits to go with those...
I dislike EDH because it's so unbalanced. I am very much for having casual EDH with a banlist run by the current Rules Committee, but if it's going to have bigger tournaments, it needs a second banlist run by WotC itself for larger tournaments such as GP side events. This banlist needs to be designed with competitive balance in mind.
This does mean that some of the more "fun", broken cards such as Sol Ring, Mana Vault / Crypt, and the like need to be removed from Competitive EDH, for the sake of having less-swingy, one-sided games.
@Dresden: KMC Matte Dark Blue for me. I don't much care for black, and the red ones split on me.

I'm all about competitive EDH in side-events casual edh in non-events though. Speaking of which, if somebody could recommend me the BEST non-combo (or whatever deck doesn't lose to opponents holding counterspells) competitive multiplayer EDH deck, I'd be much obliged!
(As to why non-combo...I have that one already. Would like to switch it up!)

There's a place where you can buy like 10 packs of perfect fits in bulk for ~$30. Excellent choice for that large legacy collection or cube.
@Skies - KMC dark blue matte as well. I love them.
Wow we have a OT thread now... w00t w00t! Hello everyone my name is Jason ! I enjoy EDH but currently building a budget Legacy deck... Turns out no one really likes Sigarda so I got to diversify to keep the play group happy...
I suggest you diversify into Arcanis the Omnipotent or some equally obnoxious combo general. Seems like the best way to get your group to appreciate when you play Sigarda. I mean, heck, when people get mad at me for playing Zombies in Legacy, I threaten to bring out Enchantress. I find that most people are quite excited to play against Zombies at that point.

I use EDH to get away from competitive games... my Karn deck doesn't even have a combo
Whut? A Karn deck with no combos? Lol... that has got to be hard not to auto include them...
I really don't mind... the EDH games have actually gotten boring because it is all the same decks that always play... We used to play nothing but Standard then it went to nothing but EDH and now I think we are evolving I to Legacy... hopefully Modern is next lol...

8 players.
4 packs of 16 cards.
Generals and mana fixing are in the packs.
Left, right, left, right.
Build a 61 (60 + General) deck.
Normal rules apply - color ID, life, etc.
Play 2 pods of 4.

Multi color sleeves?
I also like how you have to keep color ID.

Some people ask me how many cards my legacy deck is because it stands so tall. Gotta protect those foils!

800 matching pink sleeves. Sleeving cards is a pain so just keeping them the same was expensive but the easiest option.

Also, I played Miracles to a 3-0 finish tonight and won Thursday Night Legacy.

Step 1: Insert Liquimetal Coating and Mycosynth Lattice
Step 2: Profit off your new combo, nuking your opponents' lands.
Who needs steps 3 and 4, anyway?

Or you could just play Voltaic construct, along with any monolith type card (which you're probably running anyways), and have a lot of fun.
