Why is Wall of Omens up to around $5.00 shipped tcgplayer low nm?
I just got my playset 3-4 months ago for around $1.50 ea
I don't see any kind of tier 1 or 2 deck using them, and I never thought of it as a great card for commander either.
Goldfish says quite a few Modern decks are using it.
5 Jeskai Twin
4 White Moon
4 Azorius Control
3 UW Titan
2 Kiki Chord
1 WBG
1 WU
Are any of these decks considered Tier 1? Jeskai Twin maybe but it's only 3/20 decks on page 1 of Twin on MTG Top 8. Is Tier 2 demand enough to spike a card 300%? UW Titan hasn't been Tier in a long time (it's already been demoted to dev comp in the forum)

Bx eldrazi processors is a phenomenon in deck creation- stupid number of responses for a forum which is not the most visited, a sure sign of a viable deck. The deck has done well on MTGO in a couple of forms and had SCG treatment, who obviously are looking to drive sales. People love a new cheap Modern deck, and with OGW on the way the deck will likely get better.

People with belligerent signatures are trying to compensate for something....
PS Teeg is now 12-13 Euro + postage, non English. So MKM have caught up. That would be 5 Euro postage for registered too, plus paypal fees = about 18 Euro.

No idea what makes a modern deck Tier 1-2 or how reliable the forums here are at sorting things. When you search for deck results with Wall of Omens there are the above number of decks in each archetype that show up. They are either X-1 or Top-8 at Modern Premier events or SCG IQs.
It really doesn't take that much to make cards pop up though, right? One deck top 8s at ONE event and we'll see a card quadruple overnight.

the new linvala and reflector mage are two really good creatures for the various u/w decks and could move these archetypes back into tier
the new linvala and reflector mage are two really good creatures for the various u/w decks and could move these archetypes back into tier
Mage might help the UW cause, but Linvala... I can't see anyone in Modern paying 6 mana for that.
well finishers for u/w control use ojutai, sun titan, gideon, etc and linvala fills the need most those creatures lack. other than that I don't see any other reason wall of omens would rise in price other than the expectation these decks would be on the rise
People are deluded when they think that even a semi competitive Modern deck can be budget, thanks to our speculating benefactors
But I seriously doubt Relic will be anywhere near "expensive for a common" territory since it was printed en masse in Shards.
Guess I should be happy I hadn't gotten around to relisting those yet on ebay. Eesh, looks like they have tripled (ish) from where they were before. They were about $1 each before, a new price of $3 isn't necessarily out of the question, but $2 is likely a bit more reasonable. Guess I will see what happens when I relist mine. Between the shards printing at common, as well as the modern event deck copies, and the planechase/modern masters 2013 copies, definitely a decent amount of supply floating out there.
Playing millions of cards every turn... Slowly and systematically obliterating any chance my opponent has of winning... Clicking the multitude of locking mechanisms into place... Not even trying to win myself until turn 10+ once I have nigh absolute control... Watching my opponent desperately trying to navigate the labyrinthine prison that I've constructed... Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.

Near Mint: The same as Slightly Played, but we threw some Altoids in the box we stored it in to cover up the scent of dead mice. Slightly Played: The base condition for all MTG cards. This card looks OK, but there’s one minor annoying ding in it that will always irritate and distract you whenever you draw it. Moderately Played: This card looks like it survived the Tet Offensive tucked inside the waistband of GI underwear. It may smell like it, too. Heavily Played: This card looks like the remains of Mohammed Atta’s passport after 9/11. It may be playable if you double-sleeve it to stop the chunks from falling out. The condition formerly known as "Washing Machine Grade" Damaged: This card is the unfortunate victim of a Mirrorweave/March of the Machines/Chaos Confetti/Mindslaver combo.
[M]aking counterfeit cards is the absolute height of dishonesty. Ask yourself this question: Since most people...are totally cool with the use of proxies...what purpose do [high] quality counterfeit cards serve?
There was a post somewhere else about it. The speculation is that since it wasn't printed as an Expedition in Oath of the Gatewatch and GR Tron seems to be only getting better, it was a decent spec target.

Yup, looks like grove ran through a buyout in some form, you can still find some for as low as $65 or so for NM copies, but even those are few and far between between the two available printings. Relic of progenitus is up to a solid $3 now on ebay and at least that high most everywhere else (all of the sub $10 playsets (shipped) got bought out of ebay since my last post). And yeah Eye of ugin still on the rise, but seems to still be available for as low as $20 some places. Crazy times indeed.
The Eldrazi Processors deck is the real deal. I sleeved it up and went into a 52-man IQ without any testing and top4'd with it. Prices on Eye, Temple, etc may stabilize/drop down the road, but they could just as easily keep going up.
Scrabbling Claws and Nihil Spellbomb are two cards I'd keep my eye on given Relic's being bought out. These both have more limited print runs and are being played in the Processors list as well.

Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Another price spike: Phyrexian Crusader. What about the Crusader... he used much?
Looks like a buyout, only 5 left on tcgplayer. Jumped from mid-$3's to $10.
There's been talk of a Sultai Infect deck in the past, and it looks like the card got mentioned in a Quiet Speculation article this week, but yeah, looks like a pure buyout. Good spec, though... playable rare from a small set (and gets an obligatory Tiny Leaders mention, too).
