Just to give you a little background on this story. I just moved last July and had my address changed with the USPS (or mail-forwarding, I guess) about a month later.
Around October, I got back into Magic and started purchasing auctions on Ebay. Unfortuantely, I forgot to up-date my address on Paypal (it's in there, but not my "verified" address, so Paypal automatically uses my old addy), so the first few that I bought went to my prior address before being forwarded to my new address just fine.
Then, on Oct. 23rd or so, I purchased a Bulk Rare lot from M-Universe on Ebay. I told them on OCt 25th that my address on Paypal address was incorrect and gave them the correct address. Unfortunately, they had already sent the package out at that point.
It should have arrived here by Oct. 27th, it's still NOT here. I've contacted M-Universe multiple times and they have yet to respond (before my auction items were sent, they responded rather promptly) I asked them about a tracking number and other questions concerning the possible delay of my package. All of my inquiries were ignored.
I finally found the tracking number attached to my auction and it looks like it's been going back and forth between the sort facilities between here, Rhode Island and Massachusetts since it was delivered.
I called USPS on Monday, and the lady told me it was being returned to Sender. She told me there was no way I could stop it and she had no idea why it was going back and forth. I noticed on the DC# info that it said "Moved, Left no address" and "notice left". She didn't really provide any info on this either, basically...she was pretty unhelpful with the exception of informing me it would be returned to sender. She had no idea about any of the other questions or requests for explanations that I had..and even seemed upset that I was trying to get more information about my package.
For all I know, the package could be on an infinite loop between the Sort facilities between here and Rhode Island, since apparently the Post Office can't figure out how to re-route this particular package.
So, I finally left this message for M-Universe late last night.
Hello M-Universe,
I still have not received my item, nor have I received any responses to my previous queries. I really dislike being ignored, so can we please communicate and figure out what's going on with this package.
So, I found the DC# the other day. It looks like it's been going back and forth between here and Providence Rhode Island, as well as making some stop-overs in MA. I'm not sure why it keeps going back and forth since I HAVE address forwarding.
Anyways, I called USPS today, and they told me it was being returned to sender. Has this ever happened before? Will you be able to send it to my correct address once you get it back? I hope we can work out a no-hassle solution and keep the lines of communication open until I receive and am satisfied with my product!
Thanks again for your time, please respond at your earliest convenience.

Still no response. It hasn't been 24 hrs yet, but it's been at least 18 or so, plenty of time for a response.
So, what do you guys think of this whole situation?
Do you know how I can get the package re-routed to my correct address before it gets returned to sender?
Does anyone know why my package seems to be on infinite loop?
Should I file a complaint on Paypal?
Should I leave negative feedback to M-universe?

It looks like the item was finally returned to the Providence, RI sort facility. Hopefully, it will be FINALLY returned to Sender and he can resend it to the correct address. I still haven't received a response from them though.
Yeah I looked online and could not find any sort of support number. As far as feedback goes I guess it's a mix of problems between you giving him the wrong address and then him not responding to your questions. I hope your situation works out and if I find anything else out I'll let you know.

Honestly, they should have emailed you back, so if you want to rate their communication lower, thats fine, but I wouldn't leave negative feedback because you supplied the wrong address.
I had a case like this not too long ago and I never got the cards back. I assume they got forwarded to the buyer because they never wrote me again despite the fact they said USPS would return them to me.
He sent with DC to the verified paypal address -You have 0 case with paypal.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

Great, so if I don't get them back, he can just continue to ignore me and never send the stuff and keep my money, if he so choses...correct?
That sucks, I even tried changing my verified address, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. Also and I wouldn't have used it in the first place but for the fact that Paypal/Ebay take you right past that step.
Edit; Okay, I just figured out how to change my address in Paypal. Previously, I tried going to Profile>Edit Address, and I switched my new address to my Home Address. But that didn't work because the old address was still "Confirmed" with my card. So, finally I found out how to change this.
Also, I still have NO response at all from M-Universe, even though it's been almost 48 hrs. REALLY Frustrating! I'm afraid he's just going to keep my cards when they get sent back to him, and the USPS can't help me because apparently, they have no control over their mail and the Sort Facilities are like Fortresses that are blocked off from any contact from the outside world.

Your of course free to handle this how you wish but I think cardfather was just pointing out the other side of the coin. I have also had this happen to me because we ship out orders on the same day they are placed and we have had people e-mail us after the order was shipped to the address they gave us wanting us to ship it to the new address and angry that we had already shipped it to his old address. The main difference is we do of course respond to e-mail and accept phone calls and do whatever we can to fix the situation.
Why don't you open a paypal claim and see if that gets his attention? Personally I don't think you should chargeback since he did indeed ship the item but if the cards did go back to his facility then he does need to send them to your new address now. He will end up paying twice for shipping which will be unfair to him but we have done that tons of time and it's just part of keeping the customer happy.
Let us know how it goes and if I find anything else about contacting them I'll let you know.

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know that I finally got the cards from M-Universe. I think they just cycled through the sort facilities a couple more times and then eventually came back to me, without being returned to Sender.
If anyone wants to see the insane amount of times it went back and forth between Columbus, Ohio and Providence, RI, here's the DC.

So, I guess the only thing I need to decide now is what kinda feedback to give to this guy.
I take complete responsibility for sending him the wrong address, and the delay in shipping was a combination of my fault and USPS (because they haven't had problems forwarding any other packages to me, so I'm not sure what the deal was with this one).
However, I found the lack of communication to be unacceptable. I really hate being ignored, and I can understand that people get busy sometimes, but being ignored after 3 Pms is really rude, IMHO. There is no reason for that from a top-rated Ebay store/seller who dedicates there time to their business of selling MTG cards. From a regular joe selling a couple of his spare cards, it might be understandable, but from someone who's entire Business is based on selling MTG cards, I really don't see any reason to ignore Pm's like that.
So, I'm definitely rating them low on that, probably either positive feedback with low communication, or maybe a Nuetral.
Personally I would say positive with a 1 for communication. Im usually willing to give a larger business the benefit of the doubt when it comes to communication because of the high volumes of sales they do. So long as I get the cards within a reasonable amount of time (they shipped it quickly) and the cards were shipped correctly, the shipping wasnt high, and the cards arrived as described, Ill leave them a positive. If communication was lacking like with your experience Ill just give them a 1 on communication and call it a day.

I'd probably give them a neutral, but be willing to change it to a positive if the company contacts you asking for a feedback revision, and is willing to listen to the reason why you left them a Neutral feedback to begin with.
