I bought some foil cards from them a while back. Two NM and one SP of the same foil card. I could not tell the difference between the NMs and the SPs. They also honored the lower price that I ordered that cards at, even though the priced jumped a bit.

I've had nothing but good dealings with them. I don't often buy higher value cards there, as I can usually get them cheaper on ebay even with the shipping, but any time I'm needing a bunch of cheaper cards I go through them. It's especially nice that I basically get next day delivery from there, due to my relatively close proximity.
I've been quite pleased with the trade in as well.
Well, I think I'm going to stop ordering from these guys. As I've said in this thread, I used to like them because they had a huge range of harder-to-find stuff at reasonable prices. In the last six months or so, the 'reasonable prices' bit has really gone out the window. Everything (or at least everything I've looked at) is now as overpriced as their Standard staples. This makes me a sad panda, but what can you do?
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
Did a couple tradeins with ABU, and they were great. They agreed with all the conditions I rated my cards. As far as above goes, I had a bit of extra credit, and they asked me what I wanted to do. They're just going to send me a check for $4 =P.
I live about 60 miles away from these guys, so a few months ago, I ordered Counterpunch commander set and had my grandfather and brother pick it up (they were in the area). They brought back a receipt with Counterpunch paid for, but had Political Puppets in there instead.
Fast forward to yesterday, I realized I still hadn't taken this back (I go that direction a few times a year at best, gas isn't cheap these days), so I emailed them and asked if I could return it, despite the few months that had gone by. They replied back that they would.
Got to the store, told em what was going on... there was a bit of confusion on what I was wanting to do, but once it all clicked, I walked out with Counterpunch. Looks like it's price has doubled since last I saw it... I think they knew it was kind of a bummer on their end, but as the guy said, "It's the right thing to do".
I'm glad they did this for me. Counter Punch was the only commander set I didn't already have and have been wanting it for a long time (mostly for the commanders, I didn't realize Scavaging Ooze went insane on price.)
Just figured I'd post up some positive feedback where it was deserved.
I recently posted a massive buylist to them (500$+)
Their receiving, communication, and turnaround time, were all superior.
I received confirmation that they had gotten my package within one business day, and they processed my order through in two more business days even though their site says to expect 4-7. I also received my check payment within a week of them checking my cards over.
People who are selling to them, however, should know that their insane cash buylist prices (And ridiculous trade-in prices) are accompanied by extremely tough standards for card condition. If you're tempted to send in, make sure you carefully examine your cards for wear, and look at their condition guide to make sure your stuff is up to the muster.
They're a very great company, and I would not hesitate to send my stuff in to them again.
I've sold about 10 buylist orders into ABUgames. The orders ranges from $100 - 400 a piece. They are generally pretty critical on condition and their NM really means M I think. But, I've never had a problem, besides them downgrading on condition. They always email and offer to send things back that are not the agreed upon condition. I will keep dealing with them as of now. I'm always very pleased with their work.

Just ordered a very large $500 order from these guys the person I was in contact with answered emails very fast and I got the cards days later with no problems. They might be a little more pricey but I don't mind paying for the great service.

Absolutely. I will pay that premium every time for their excellent service and my peace of mind. These guys are one of the best.
Had a few more transactions with them, and I have been extremely impressed with them. Everything else being equal I'd prefer them to anyone else out there.
Their prices seem a little higher than other sites, but they have very good inventory (including some cards I don't see in stock anywhere else online), and I love how they provide good resolution scans of so many of the older cards, so that you know exactly what you're getting. I have a sizable order of cards coming from them in the mail this week, I'm very excited about it!
I looked over their site, and I am shocked that they can sell cards for the prices that they do. They are so overpriced.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't care so much. I mean, if a person is selling cards for such ridiculous prices, why stop them? They will surely run out of business, right? Right?!
Well, apparently, it's one of the biggest stores to get magic cards. I must have been living under a rock.
How can they get away with selling Boros Reckoners for $38.99 or Snapcasters for $27.49? These prices seems seem quite aburd to me.
I've been following AjemanCinnajob for a bit, but I never really thought to check the store that he works for or promotes. Now, I really don't think I want to reward his channel with the subscription and the views.
I posted his channel 3 times asking about it, but he's been deleting my posts.
Why do people buy from them? I thought facetoface was overpriced a bit, but abugames is really quite a joke. I hesitate to say they are "ripping people off", but man, if people are uninformed about prices, I sincerely feel bad for them.
EDIT: I was just banned from AjemanCinnajob's channel for simply pointing out the huge markups of cards. He would advise people to shop from them, which I just responded to the person to give them some alternative information. A lot of the people he was telling to buy stuff from abugames were just 12 year olds who probably don't know any better. And I was banned for it. Thanks AjemanCinnajob! I unsubscribed, and if you have any conscience, you will too.
Not all of abu's prices are nuts, but there are quite a few times they have a card thats out of stock everywhere else and its a little more expensive because no one has any. They generally have above average buy prices as well.
That's the thing - these cards are not out of stock. I just got 4 snapcasters for $19 from someone on here, and that's roughly the price all of the players here sell them for. But on tcgplayer, there are plenty of places selling them for MUCH cheaper than $27.49 - more like $20-21.
Abugames' Sphinx's Revelation is $19.99. Most places it can be had for $15-16.
On mtgprice.com, abugames seems to have the highest price out of every other store that is being compared. They drive the average "fair price" up by quite a bit, as the fair price is often much higher than you can get them on tcgplayer.
It seems absurd to me that anyone would buy from these guys. They are taking such massive profits per sale. If they truly are selling massive quantities, they are making tons of money. Makes me want to compete with them.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
I've bought quite a bit from there. The prices are just different. Yeah they seem to list certain cards at higher than average prices, but I've gotten great bargains on others. I think it really depends on what stock they have available of a given card at the time.
They definitely have higher prices than their competitors, but usually they have every card in stock, and I think their customer service is pretty spot on. One of the cards I ordered was damaged once and they sent over a replacement with no fuss.
The only problem I've had with them is that I often receive my cards warped in a particular direction, requiring some finessing and pressing between books to straighten them out.
So yeah, if you need a large number of cards, you can use them for the convenience, but probably not the price.

There are far better options for good customer service. Rarely have I had a problem with facetoface or any of the tcgplayer stores. I don't think any customer service is worth a 35% markup.
If some poor schmuck sold them the card for 25% of what it's worth, they get something like 8-9x the profits for every resale they make.

These two facts are probably related. After all, it's hard to sell cards when they're marked up to extortionate levels.
That said, ridiculous markup only seems to be on really highly played NM cards. SP and below seem to be more reasonable, as do less played cards. Still not amazing, but hey.

I checked my collection on mtgprice.com, and almost every single card in that collection has abugames at the top selling at the highest price :/ If they aren't the highest, they are second highest.
Well, I did say "still not amazing." When they're not extortionate, they're still really high.
I've actually bought from ABU a few times, mostly for a few things that they probably forgot to update prices on, but honestly, they don't do much to make me want to do it again, and that pricing is indicative of really bad business practices. For instance, when I was shopping around for Liliana of the Veil a few months ago, their price on her was pretty much exactly $10 higher than TCG Player's upper price, which I honestly thought was a typo. The fact that they seriously expect people to pay those prices with nothing going for them as a store to make people want to pay that premium (their shipping is average, their customer service isn't really a plus, their site design and search system are atrocious, etc) makes them look pretty bad in my eyes.
So far, so good.

Magic cards are great fun. If you are looking to buy rare magic cards online, at the best prices, Abugames is your perfect source.
How can they say that with a straight face?
As for buy prices, they are still too low. They are buying stuff for 25-30% of the actual price.
The only problem I've had with them is that I often receive my cards warped in a particular direction, requiring some finessing and pressing between books to straighten them out.

Really? When I was looking for basics for one of my EDH decks, Troll And Toad wound up being better than ABU in basically every way.
