Thought I'd share a message exchange I had today with this seller. This was in regards to a listing of an old card that he had two quantity of, but only a picture of a single card front. To be fair, the pic provided is very high res, but also at an angle in not the best light. Anyway, readers can make their own judgment as to whether they'd want to deal with someone like this. (Overall feedback % is good, but the negative comments are pretty consistent and telling.)

Dear ***********,
And you're a nit-picker, someone I have no interest in dealing with anyway. Thanks, B

Dear bigheartmagic,
Cool, I won't waste my time with your listings anymore. That was a really rude response.

Dear ***********,
I don't know how I can get a closer picture of the front than the one I have up, and I could send you a stock photo for the back since it's NM, so no, I won't waste my time with this request. B

Dear bigheartmagic,
Hi - would it be possible to provide close up front and back pics of these? Thanks!
I mean it seems like a reasonable request to ask for a scan of the back also, even if the picture of the front was high res. My first thought when reading his response about sending a stock photo because it is NM is that the back likely is NOT NM. I could be totally wrong, but that was definitely my first impression, either way, this is a pretty sad response from a seller.

I think bigheartmagic definitely sounded pretty rude in the exchange. But I will say something in the defense of ebay sellers because I occasionally sells cards on ebay.
There's just no winning on the condition front. I've offered high res scans of my cards and people still complain ask for a partial discount after they already have my cards.
It's incredibly frustrating as a seller because there is little more I can do than offer a scan and let the scan speak for itself.
One thing that really highlights this issue is that we have had instances here on MTGsalvation where 10 people will opine on the condition of a card in a thread, and you literally get 7 different answers.

I sell cards on eBay all the time. A person or business takes on the inherent risks of dealing with card condition simply by choosing to be an online seller of Magic cards. My request for pics is made with the intention of avoiding a condition dispute, not justifying one.
In any case, this is more about the seller having a poor attitude and being unprofessional. The seller's negative feedback ratings in recent months show a track record of the same.

One of those negs may have been from me. They have great prices, but their cards are listed as "NM" and often aren't. I stopped purchasing from them after I got a "NM" card with severe border whitening.
They weren't rude or anything, but their product was unsatisfactory, so I will not return with my business.
