So what's the go with this guy!?! I've been looking for a B/R Planeswalker after using Sarkhan the Mad ages ago and now returning to MTG and saw this guy! 3cmc and makes a defender token and can sac it to kill an Artifact or Creature. That's pretty solid at 3cmc. His last power seems pretty nuts too. Multiple wurmcoil engine tokens?!
Why isn't he being used or have a deck built around him?
Oooooooh well there you go! Haha. Sorry, I've just gotten back into Magic and wanting to play Modern after playing standard for years. All good then. Thanks for the reply! Haha

No worries. I am not sure if it helps (as I see others with similar confusions) but Modern only includes sets that were at one time Standard legal. So, you will never see the Commander, Conspiracy, Archenemy, or Planechase sets in Modern. Technically, the Masters sets are not Modern Legal either. It is just that they are reprinting cards from other sets that are Modern legal and if any printing of a card is legal in a format, every printing is legal. So, Modern Masters contains all Modern Legal cards even though the set itself does not make the cards legal in Modern. Eternal Masters, Iconic Masters, and Masters 25 are not Modern legal though they may contain reprints of already Modern legal cards.
Ah gotcha! Yeah I knew that it still had a huge chunk of the sets but it's definitely confusing with all the reprinting a etc. But that's cool, at least the reprinted cards can still be used and sometimes cheaper than the original printing, which is handy for someone like me getting back into the game with basically little to no card pool anymore haha. Once again, thanks for the reply. You've definitely cleared a few more things up for me too!

Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast
I don't know that there is too much more to discuss beyond that.
Hopefully that clears it up a little bit
Cheers!
