With the results from GP Minn will there be a rise in Scapeshift decks. UWR Control, Jund, Pod and Tron seemed to have a really good showings. When I play Modern next week I wonder how much it would be effected by this.
THIS 100X!!! If you don't agree with this then there is no amount of logic that will ever convince you that good, non-oppressive, combos should be allowed. If you don't agree with it then just don't play this game, and you certainly shouldn't feel entitled to make any comment on ban lists ever.
That top 5 card list is bull*****. Very few people were playing Scapeshift, and only one list played Crucible of Worlds. Birthing Pod and Slaugher Pact were the only cards I saw played in at multiple points during the tournament. I guess a list that consisted of Scalding Tarn, Steam Vents, Verdant Catacombs and Birthing Pod would be pretty boring.
Personally I'm expecting a rise in tron, scapeshift, uwr control, and jund for the ptq season. Of course you will also have to prepare for affinity, twin, and pod as well. Those are the 7 decks I wouldn't leave home without a plan for.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
