I have three shops that I play in modern tournaments. Two of the three the generic sideboard seems to be working for RG tron but the latest shop the meta was extremely filled with land hate. I didn't notice much artifact or enchantment hate sideboarded in.my thoughts are to run crucible in the side for these events but with most of the top performing decks not running it in the side just wanted to see why it might not be such an instant add to the sideboard.
It's a non-bo with Relic of Progenitus and Oblivion stone partially. The main part is that you'll generally only encounter none or one land destruction deck from other competitive decks. Occasionally you'll find a meta where people have tuned for Tron and your best bet there is to either not play Tron or run Crucible.
Thank you. I knew the answer had to be obvious I am at work and didn't think it through that does make it a more risky decisions having it cut off at least one integral stall tactic.
The big issue I have with Crucible of Worlds is if you draw it but they don't happen to draw any land hate in that game, it does pretty much nothing for you. I'm not really fond of "counter-hate" for Tron for this reason, because if your opponent doesn't happen to have their hate card, then your counter-hate is fairly useless.
If it is a land destruction heavy meta, though, it might be worth it.

Easy wins.
