I've build a 5 color version of Dredge with Steam Vents/Watery Grave + Wonder and it's been quite successful so far.
I was wondering what you guys/gals think about Thought Scour instead of Shriekhorn ? Artifacts are harder to deal with than instants but the "instant" + draw 1 part of it seems better to me.
Anyone has input/advices?
Thanks!

11:15, restate my assumptions: 1. Mathematics is the language of nature. 2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers. 3. If you graph these numbers, patterns emerge. Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature. - Maximillian Cohen.
Dredge wants sheer self-milling speed, not more cards in hand. Dredge is one of the best decks in the entirety of Modern at mulliganing down to 4 cards and still winning, I've found.
By the draw step of your Turn 2, Shriekhorn has milled 4 cards, while Thought Scour has milled only 2 unless you mill a Dredger. 2 cards are not getting out Narcomoebas or Prized Amalgams fast enough.
I'm an enormous fan of Tome Scour, though. The difference between Self-Mill 4 and Self-Mill 5 is pretty noticeable (the Insolent Neonate-Golgari Thug hands were a touch too unreliable, while the Neonate-Stinkweed Imp hands were pretty good). I've stuck by Tome Scour since Golgari Grave-Troll was freshly unbanned, and I honestly still think that glutting up with 1-mana enablers makes more hands keepable.
In short, I think that Tome Scour > Shriekhorn >> Thought Scour if your deck can support blue mana.
