A little surprised there's no topic for this. A little while ago, Randy Buehler and a friend did a "Gauntlet of Greatness" which was a March Madness-style elimination bracket for the biggest decks throughout Standard's history (granted, other people have done that, but it's still interesting whenever it's done). That concluded, so now they're doing one for the big Modern decks.
It's not quite as exciting as the Standard one because the matchups are things we're familiar with (i.e. you rarely get an opportunity to see UW Delver take on Memory Jar but Storm vs. Grixis Delver is a matchup that happens in the real world), but I still think it's kind of cool.
I found it interesting, but picking up those decks and playing them has resulted in suboptimal gameplay. Not really valid data in any way, but fun to watch. The hatebears deck is actually death n taxes.

This is true.
Additionally it has little validity as its single elimination but its still cool (ie RG tron got paired against jund I wonder who will win? and thus decks hat fold to jund will do much better etc)
While I don't think this series is particularly good as a source of information about Modern, I enjoy Randy Buehler's commentary style and his talking about the plays he's making, so I'm enjoying the series, even if it's not exactly informative.
