The idea with this deck is to win through a fairly janky combo. Basically you need to resolve eye of the storm and then cast either of the cascade spells, which will be exiled by the storm and recast which will then find a burn spell or cantrip since that's the only things below 3 cmc which will then cause it to repeat itself, eventually killing the table with grapeshot
The back up plan is to go for an enduring ideal lock and grind out the table ( Is there a better piece here than Form of the Dragon? it seems slow in edh if my opponents don't scoop.
Now obviously the deck isn't complete yet, but that's why i'm here.
I need your help adding more pillow fort type cards, especially more ramp,
and building a manabase once it's all put together (how many lands allow you to sac a creature? useful for both child and rector). The biggest problem I've been having is keeping everything above 3 cmc.
Which is why I've come to the hive. What say ye? Can we build it?
Maybe i'll suggest a better wincon, maybe just something than you can obtain when you can cast an infinite number of sorceries or instants with cmc 2 or less. I don't know, maybe just like a lot of bounce spells to bounce everything in their hands, or something like tokens and buffs. I don't really like the burn it those spots
145 views and nothing at all? not even a dont build this? im a bit surprised.
Give it time. I did something similar to this with Spellshift when Eye was in standard. It's funny, but complicated and clunky. You have to be pretty ballsy to run it.
Your Enduring Ideal package is incomplete. You are VERY vulnerable to Aura Shards and any creature-based enchantment removal, which is extremely popular in EDH. You'll get killed quite frequently when going for that plan. I strongly suggest you either add Torpor Orb (which you can't fetch with EI) or change the lock.
My EI package looks like this:
Lock:
Of course my list is a dedicated Prison-Fortress EI deck. At the BARE MINIMUM you will want the first 4 with the 5th being strongly recommended.
If you want details on how it works, check out my Karona list from my sig.
It's absurdly mean, and definitely not going to win you friends.
If you're going to run Child of Alara as your general, know that you have to let it stick in the bin to blow up the board. It makes for some interesting decisions. You don't have to let it kill everything should someone kill it at an awkward time (just send it to the general zone). So you will need some way to recur it, after you sacrifice it. I prefer Volrath's Stronghold to recur and Phyrexian Tower to sac. They have a nice synergy between them. Another good way to recur it is Genesis. Other sac outlets include High Market and Miren, the Moaning Well.

ok first at Gabgabdevo, why not the burn in those spots? as the main reason for it was that it synergized well with grapeshot which even if flipped last should make a ridiculous number of copies, and if i find it somewhere in the middle then it's even better due to multiple storm triggers.
Next @ Omega Furnace this is what i was looking for. I knew the EI package needed work, that was just the only one i could remember but its from modern.
that lock looks much better for edh. Would you happen to have a link to your list? and beseech is perfect hadn't though about it yet. genesis is the only suggestion i didn't like but that's only because i want this list to be mostly noncreature, which ispart of the reason i was mostly looking for lands that would let me sac and/or recur since there wont be many in the first place. Thanks for the feedback!:cool2:

Yes, the lock is close to unbreakable. Only 1 card in all of Magic can get you out of it after the fact, and it needs support to do that. 2 others will get you part way out, but with an active Mistveil Plains, EI, and discard outlet, that won't work for long. It's mostly explained in the "Known Weaknesses" section of my Karona thread.
Like I said above, the link is in my sig. Expand the "Current EDH Lists" spoiler, it's right there.
I think Baneful Omen is the quickest enchantment-based EDH kill around (at least for multi-player). Helps to have an active SDT or Soothsaying to speed things up. You can also further speed up the clock with a Copy Enchantment or Wound Reflection.

Similarly, tutoring can be added too. You can always find something irrelevant or fail to find. It only has to TRIGGER Eye to continue the loop, you don't actually have to resolve the spell.
Oh, and if you want another easy lock, try these: Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir + Possibility Storm Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir + Knowledge Pool
Both are only broken by not-a-spell effects (cycling triggers and Ulamog cast-me trigger) and activated abilities of pre-existing permanents. These locks do not do anything about the current board-state. Best used following a sweeper.

Had you considered Beseech the Queen for your tutor package?
