Meh. That's OK at best. Try Legacy. Servant naming blue, Pyroblast counters or destroys anything, Red Elemental Blast counters or destroys anything, and you can pitch anything to Force of Will. Grindstone for the win.

The only good uses for the servant in T2 are for oona and the "count number of permanents of a certain color in play" cycle, and a two card combo that gives you a one mana green or red flash counter is just not worth it

Then add in all the artifact mana accelerators you can fit into the deck (Moxes, Sol Ring, etc.) plus some great lands like Mishra's Workshop, Tolarian Academy and whatever 'manland' you would like, although a land that transforms into an artifact creature is probably best.
I think that Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast are what gets used with Painter's Servant because if you don't draw him they are still very useful cards, and I don't think that in vintage you will have to limit yourself to mono red just because of them. I don't play vintage personally, but that's my understanding.

whats that one, do you mean the creature with power and toughness, do you mean the creatures like crowd of cinders, or do you mean jaws of stone, because thats not whatb that cycle does
Better Response (R/G)

Play blue, and target red is better. You still have Force of Will (which will be easier to play), you can use Blue Elemental Blast and Hydroblast instead of the red counterparts, plus you get the tutors for Painter's Servant and Grindstone with Tinker, Transmute Artifact, Reshape, Fabricate or Trinket Mage (the last only works with Grindstone).

Oh, and you can then add in Oona, Queen of the Fae just for kicks!

Red would be a better pick in legacy, because even without the painter, you can has 8 blast cards against a goblin deck.
