Ok, unlikely is probably too strong a word. Reprinting Force would obviously help the format tremendously, and Wizards certainly seem to want to support the format with pre-cons like Exiler, etc.
I guess not seeing it reprinted in ME4 left a bad taste in my mouth.

ME4 didnt more selling points, it already had the 10 lands... they dont want to pack the goodies to tight, that would only limit them in the next set around... the 10 duals already makes ME4 a nice set.
Even a promo version would help out a lot. No reason they haven't released this as a judge foil or something yet.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Unless they don't want classic to be a viable format online they have to release another MED set. They're still missing moxes and the lotus. You can't, just can't, have a viable classic format without those 6 cards. They might as well put Force in that set as well and then be done with the MED sets.
So far there havent been judge foils on magic online... but i would support the idea
Judge foils in paper often make it to the promo isle on MTGO.
Heck, the freeking MTGO promo Wasteland for MOCS is freeking AWESOME and it doesn't exist in paper.

It won't cool off any time *soon*, but if they want the format to survive it will have to be reprinted. There is money to be made in reprinting it, so I have to believe it will someday get reprinted.
Where did they say ME4 was the last? Either way they could release it some other way.
I would say they are watching the success of ME4 and how it affects classic play, and judge accordingly for the next releases.
Even if its the death rattle of Magic, before the game dies I would wager they will cash grab releasing the Moxes and Lotus online. ( I don't think it would be, just saying)
I think there will be a promo version at some point.

I can't give you a quote I'm afraid, but I remember it being stated that it was the last one on the mothership at some point. There really aren't anymore cards that need to be online other than power, and I think wizards will keep that for a long time until they start running out of money.
The rest of the cards that aren't online, but are vintage legal will be printed as wotc begins to release the masques block and urzas destiny online.
Why do you guys think that P9 will cause WotC to get money? Do you think WotC made more off their chain lightnings and original duals (ME1-4) than they do off just like... scars of mirrodin?
Why do people always act like WotC is a part of the secondary market...

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."

Maybe something like healthy formats -> more people playing -> more demand for packs -> more packs bought from WOTC?

I too was shocked that FOW was not in me4. With them spending time and $ trying to make Commander and Older formats more viable yet having a few staples not available and some at astronomical prices seems counter productive. I don't think they are going to wait 16 months again between ME sets so maybe we will either see ME5 sooner or possible even a Pre-con with FOW in it.
I would think the commander decks released online (unless they do extras) would have the same cards as the paper ones, which likely won't include FoW (or everyone will be raiding walmart for that one box). FoW, New frame FTW.

If they really want to support eternal formats online like classic, vintage, and legacy, they will NEED to reprint FoW. FoW is the biggest staple in ALL of those sets because it is the best counter ever printed. I was amazed it wasn't in ME4 with how they are seemingly pushing legacy and other eternal formats online due to the reserved list ruining paper eternal formats. Same with LED. $60 a pop for an LED? Although this one is a lot more questionable for being reprinted due to WotC hating combo despite the fact that they could make money if they reprinted LED.
If a commander deck has FoW in it, it would infuriate a lot of people. Me especially since I own around 9 copies of the card and here they go releasing FoW in paper again but not dual lands to seriously support the legacy format in paper.
Wizards should just print P9 online and get it over with. I mean really, vintage and classic deserve to have the most broken cards at their disposal. And the decks aren't optimized until they include black lotus and a. call in their list. 'Nuff said. I mean they reprinted time vault and library of alexandria, arguably 2 of the most powerful cards in the game, in ME4. Along with mishra's workshop also one of the best cards in the game and a pillar of the vintage format. I don't see why wizards is holding back; reprinting them would cause a cash flow the likes of which was seen when Zendikar came out because who doesn't want power albeit digital power?

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
P9 will be released once the new version of mtgo is up and running smoothly. It will be the biggest selling point ever to get new people into mtgo. I would not think they would release the P9 with fow in the same set, sure would be sweet though.
If Wizards really wants to get MTGO Vintage going, they will have to do something about FoW or else face a broken format. It is a critical part of most Vintage decks (and many Legacy decks), but the barrier to entry is extremely high right now. More frequent drafts seems like the most "fair" way to do it without screwing over the players that paid huge amounts for the card, but I could see other methods working too.
This is an interesting concept, but wotc could really do a "whatever we want" ME5. I know they want it to mirror paper, but why stop at pre-mirage age cards.
Only problem is it would feel like they were building the decks for you spanning so many sets.

You build legacy decks with a series of interchangeable packages. IE:
4 brainstorm, 4 daze, 4 force of will is a standard blue tempo package.
But you can also change things up (most merfolk builds drop brainstorm from the list) and assemble new and interesting things. At this point in time, most people know which cards are good. We don't know the best way of combining all of those cards, but we do know cards go together (aether vial + standstill)
(enlightened tutor + sideboard options).
Printing all the legacy staples in packs doesn't build your deck.
While FoW is very expensive online, the fact of the matter is that legacy and classic are still MUCH cheaper than in paper. While FoW is something like twice as much as it is in paper, many other staples are anywhere from 5-50 times cheaper online, and most staples are no more than half their paper price.

Why is that unlikely? they reprinted the lands, and a few ekstra forces would go along way to both promote Legacy, but also ME5
I guess not seeing it reprinted in ME4 left a bad taste in my mouth.

If that is so, i would be surprised if they didnt re-release the old ME's
having the exstra sets online helps them keep up revenue

So drafts would rarely fire except for people who hope to crack FoW as the rest of the cards are all worth ~2-4 tix at most (Nevy's Disk, Moat, etc).
They need to make another playable ME set with FoW to really bring more people into the format.
