The idea of this deck is simple. Don't tap out on your turn ever. Cast spells on your opponents turn to generate tempo boosts. This is basically a draw go deck, it just happens that some of the bounce and counter spells are also creatures.
Nightpack Ambusher is exactly what this deck needs against Control and Midrange. I would also consider Brineborn Cutthroat, because turn 2 is often the turn before you are going to need countermagic, and it provides a good clock if you cast a spell on your opponents turn every turn.
Yeah, I am really considering the Ambusher instead of the Snake. Also as someone pointed out to me I am never going to sacrifice another creature to the sorcerer, so I'm thinking of just replacing it with another counter. Which seems best:
