Welcome to the MTGS Auction House subforum. We have developed a set of rules and regulations that will make your posting here enjoyable and productive for all.
This is a restricted subforum. Only members of the Auction House Members usergroup may post in the Auction House.
First off, you have a link toward the top of the page labeled User Control Panel. Click on it and enter the menu. On your left side there is a menu with many links. Toward the bottom there is a link called Group Memberships. Click on that one. In that menu there are many wonderful groups you can join. The group you want to join is Auction House Member. Click there and await to be approved to be let in. It can take up to 24 hours, but it should be much quicker. When you are let in you should receive a PM, but you might not receive one on accident so don't be alarmed.
To be approved for Auction House membership, you must meet these qualifications:
You must have at least 3 iTrader feedback. This is non-negotiable.
If you have less than 50 iTrader feedback, you must have 100% positive feedback.
If you have 50 or more iTrader feedback, any negative or neutral feedback you have will be reviewed before membership is granted.
You must have been an active member of MTGSalvation for at least one month.
Tradebanned members and members who are listed on the Ripper or Bad Trader lists may not apply for membership.
Auction House Subforum Posting Rules
You must keep your auction thread presentable, clean, and readable. Proper spelling and grammar are required. Failure to comply may result in your thread being closed.
The title of your auction must state Sale Auction: or Trade Auction: and the End Date of the auction or it will be closed until you can tag it appropriately - we will not babysit titles for you.
Your auction must have a pre-defined and reasonable end time. You must post the end time before the auction begins. Auctions may not be longer than two weeks.
If you state that your auction ends on (ie) 7-15-07 and you posted this auction at 8:15 P.M. it ends at 7-15-07 at 8:14 P.M.
If you state that your auction ends at a particular time, you will need to specify the regional time zone it is effective in. (Eg: Pacific, Mtn, Central, Eastern, etc)
All Auctions must be kept up to date. Not bumping your auction at all signifies disinterest or an attempt to hide this thread from members.
Once you've listed a new auction you may retract this auction if no members have placed a bid - if a bid has been placed, the auction is final.
You may set reasonable minimum amounts and bid increments. Bids must use and be evenly divisible by the bid increment. If you do not place a bid increment minimum or maximum, the minimum bid amount is $1.00 and the maximum is infinite.
Bids are binding and may not be retracted. Failure to satisfy a bid obligation is a punishable offense.
You may have only three (3) active auctions thread at a time, and you may bump each only once each 24 hours.
If you are accepting cards as bids, you must list a significant variety of cards that you'll accept and their values. "Trade auctions" with only a buyout or a single item to bid with will be closed.
You may link to your eBay feedback. Other eBay links may result in thread closure and/or auctionbanning.
References are still valid in Auction House. You are discouraged from requiring all bidders to send first regardless of references.
All bids must be posted, and bids must be independently verifiable. Anyone caught artificially and fraudulently inflating auction bid prices will be auctionbanned and referred to the MTGS forum administrators for further disciplinary action.
Auctions containing items that are deemed inappropriate by Market Street staff or MTGS forum administrators will be closed.
NEW 10/16/2009: You may not require buyers to use Paypal gift transfers. If you accept Paypal, you must be willing to accept standard, fee-incurring payments.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in infractions, auctionbanning, auction closure, or any combination of the above.
