So, my friend and I wanted to make a working Relentless Rats deck. Now, we have tried this before and splashed Blue, because we decided we needed Counterspells to stop mass removal, which is the deck's biggest threat. That deck worked okay, but it wasn't great. So, after a lot of brainstorming we came across Bloodbond March, and we decided that this is the card we were looking for. It was a complete answer to mass removal, and didn't slow the deck down too much. Hell, it could actually speed it up a little. So, without further delay (though, you do know you could have skipped this, right?) I give you Green/Black Rats!
Green also provides the answer to they speed issue, allowing one to drop their Rats as early as turn two. Harrow is both and acceleration and fixer, which was another issue with the U/B deck. Duress can sneak a peak at their hand and force out any threats early, before they have a chance to play them, or when they are tapped out. In the sideboard, it's mostly removal for those decks that just have to be answered with Spells not just throwing big-ass Creatures at them. I would like some Land destruction, though. Maybe Creeping Mold or Ghost Quarter?
I think I probably would recommend sakura tribe-elder in here over harrow. it comes down a turn sooner with the same net effect+it can block. also has later synergy with your bloodbond marches. Incidentally, evoke spells have cool synergy with bloodbond march, so think along the lines of shriekmaw if you find you need creature removal
It doesn't look to me as if you can do a whole lot if you don't get a thrumming stone. I'd say you need draw of some kind to keep up a stream of rats. That, or a way to tutor for the stone. Perhaps Brainspoil to stay in color, or Fabricate, if you're willing to splash blue again.
