After reading these forums for a time as a visitor I have finally decided to join the community. I've seen some pretty interesting discussions in all of the forums and I can't wait to get in on the fun.
As far as my Magic experience goes, I was first introduced to the game when I was in junior high (back when Revised Edition was the current core set). I mainly played casually on and off throughout the years, but I finally stuck with the game when Alara Block released. Mainly I like to draft at my local game store and compete in the Casual tourneys and Standard events whenever I have the opportunity.
Magic has easily become my #1 hobby (I find myself playing video games less often than I used to, and when I do pick up the X-Box controller I more often than not choose Duels of the Planeswalkers :D). I really like how it offers different experiences to a variety of players. I for one can't wait until I get my first Cube constructed for the next lull between expansions (I'll be starting a thread about that soon).
I like your name. Is gray just the new cardframe taking the thunder from monobrown, or does gray have its own slice of the colour pie? How do you win with a monogray deck?
When I tend to build decks for the casual events at my local game store I often find myself gravitating toward using black and white (one of my favorites is W/B discard w/ Stoneforge Mystic and Dark Confidant and I have yet another W/B deck I call "Oona's Allies".)
