Overall I like the venues. I'm going to Atlanta next month, but I would love to go back in January to help break in this new Extended format. GP Atlanta in 98 was my first Grand Prix and I have very fond memories (dispite being DQ'd from a side event I was about to win).

I like the schedule a lot (except that there are no Scandinavian GPs :(), and I'd say it's about a 75% chance I go to London, 60% that I go to Hamburg, and like 30% each for Paris and Milan. I would go to Prague, since I haven't visited that city yet, but unfortunately that event happens during my exams.
The northwest got ☺☺☺☺ED! Portland being closest was pretty rough for 2010 but I still did it. It is over 24 hours of driving for me to get to any GP this year. Just miserable; I will not be able to make it happen at all this year. I could not be more disappointed. Zero chance of hitting a GP = maximum disappointment. ☺☺☺☺ you wizards

Agreed with Above poster, GP Seattle and Portland drew huge crowds and art support. The closest we have now is Dallas and that's in the middle of the country ><...and near finals week!
On another note sweet GP Card of choice Maelstrom pulse! Will make the crowds happy.

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

How is Dallas closer to the northwest than Denver? Depending on which part of Dallas, Kansas City or San Diego would also be closer.
I got spoiled this year, I worked about 6 blocks away from the Grand Prix DC venue. It was fun enough that I'm probably gonna try to make it to Atlanta and Pittsburgh, maybe Denver (sealed though . . . bleh)
Are there always this many sealed GPs? It's such a miserable format for a high level event, I'd rather not have that much luck involved if I'm gonna spend the kind of money it takes to fly to and stay at an event like this.
where is the legacy grand prix at what is the actual address for that grand prix i have to start saving money and find a train ticket dose anyone know yet

No Legacy Grand Prix within driving distance from the midwest = EPIC FAIL wotc. The midwest has MASSIVE Legacy support (hence why Chicago and Columbus were good places to hold the GP). But I live in Minnesota, so am I supposed to drive to Rhode Island? Not likely.. airfare costs a lot of money too. I might still dish out the cash tho... gotta have my legacy GP.
Legacy should always be in Holland, because there it is where really much people play legacy so I think that's a realy good idea
What? The biggest independant european tournaments are in France, Italy and Spain. Spanish monthly tournaments are also huge. The benefit of Holland is that its much more central and easier to get to while not being filled with french people and being extremely expensive and ☺☺☺☺ty like Paris.
Pretty bummed that there is nothing in the Pacific Northwest (which I've written about already in my blog). Was really hoping to go this year and would have driven to Seattle or Vancouver, BC. Unfortunately, Denver or San Diego is way too far.
Wizards just doesn't understand how much support they get in the Pacific Northwest (they are even in Seattle for pete's sake!). People come here from BC Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and sometimes a bit further to play in these things...very disappointed
OMG are you serious guy? X( the closest GP to me is 7 hours and it's limited. The GP I care about is 1385 miles away. 4 hour drives?? Srsly??? Get over it.
I drove 13 hours last year, and I'd be willing to do it again, but I can't do a 23 hour drive and tacking a $300 or w/e the heck airfare costs now plane ticket onto my tournament and accomodation expenses makes it basically unreasonable. I guess I hope Star City Games continues their 5k's next year and actually PUTS TOURNAMENTS WHERE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY ARE!
Epic fail wotc. Epic.
I'm relatively "lucky" too! I feel REALLY bad for people in the northwest. They got the shaft hard! Sorry bros, I feel your pain... at least you canfly to Hiroshima!
4 hour drives? I would KILL for a gp within 4 hours. The closest I've EVER had is 6 hours. Last year I did 14 hours. This year, the CLOSEST to me is over 24 hours. You're complaining about 4? You bet the northwest got shafted hard! Wizards is IN ☺☺☺☺ing seattle. It's unbelievable! I sound hysterical? Ya, I'm ☺☺☺☺ing hysterical!

I know. It's 4 hours from my house to the state line. Pray tell we did have our first Grand Prix last year (Zen Sealed) but I didn't even get to go.
Of course I'm the one who isn't centrally located, but 4 hours is nothing.
20+ hours? I would be flying. My buddies drove 18 hours from here to Columbus and I flew and got some sleep while thier van broke down.

I might try to go to pittsburgh and montreal though.
I hope it is. You'd think Wizards would understand they need to clarify these things...
