**Nestled in the heart of downtown Sin City, past the strip joints and the bohemian cafes, is a humble little Castle that likes to call itself His Majesty's Grand and Wonderful Spectacle. The area residents or "Speccies", named for the castle and the accompanying King, prefer to append "of Showmanship", or alternatively "of Idiocy" to the title. The King tries to stamp out the latter practice, and often the former as well, but since he really doesn't have any power outside of the local mafia it's somewhat difficult.
Either way, the Spectacle is a grand and wonderful place, if you're the King, or have his resources. There are grand ballrooms, marvelous slot machines, and breathtaking views of the surrounding wasteland. Indeed, one Las Vegas Tour Guide called it "the greatest place between the Pyramid and Joe's Grand Spectacular Super Place". Though the latter closed down due to issues with the management (the story is that Joe had too much to drink too often, or that he disagreed with the Mafia Don), the Spectacle is a great place.
Keep in mind, though, that the splendour comes at a bit of a price. Quite a bit of one, in fact. You'd better be rich if you want a room. However, the slots are a lot more accomodating.**

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
