Guys, it's been fun. I've spent a few decent hours here, arguing, trolling, and being as obnoxious as possible.
But today is the day that it's over.
Some things I never said about myself need to be said for context, albeit briefly.
I enlisted in the USMC at age 18 (going to be 3 years ago.)
I was given a medical discharge halfway through basic training for an (then) unknown condition. as it came to light, and seeing as i did not have a waiver for it, out i went.
What i was told was that i needed to wait until my 8 year contract expired before i could go back in to any branch.
about a year ago i met and became friends with a former delta force operative. he helped me out recently, called in a few favors, and had my USMC contract voided prematurely.
i chose to reenlist in the navy, seeking a SEAL contract. (A SEAL contract does not by any means guarantee you that you will become a seal. it guarantees you the right to TRY.)
i sent in my waiver request awhile back, and it was approved. i'm leaving tomorrow.
there's a lot to it that i didn't say, and a lot that i left out, but it's irrelevant in the end.
i had some fun, here with you guys, even if it was at some of your expenses (and let's face it, i got my fair share in return! all in good fun.)
this is going to be my final post for now. i'll return someday, i'm sure. maybe even within 5-6 months, if everything goes well. but i don't plan on having a lot of free time anytime soon
Bye RT! I wish you success and health so that one day you may compose a fresh take on that "What the **** did you just ****ing say about me, you little *****? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals..." copypasta.
Interesting that the USMC are doing that for health issues now - was quite different for me two decades ago with my health issues that were found in my USMC physical. They were fighting me tooth and nail while I retracted my app.

USMC disqualifies for so many things now- as of last year tattoos you can't cover with your hands are a permanent disqualifier, even if that isn't medical per say.
edit: ADHD is now a disqualifier, as are even basic skin conditions. you aren't barred from joining- you need a waiver to do it.
