Just a question but what do you typically discard in the draw some discard some package? Do you ever find yourself needing what you discard?
I'm always hesitant to try out thought flare or thirst because I fear ill make a wrong call on my discard and throw something away ill end up needing.
I took out lavaclaw for awhile but I put that back in. I can say that the only thing I seem to be missing are inquisitions, cryptic commands and damnation. Oh and some fetch lands. My eBay account is watching a mess of a load of each though so I'm bound to get what I need.
I'm fixing my mana base as we speak since I got shut down hardbody at FNM due to it but I do run sunken ruins and I know I can get my hands on Urborg so I can get that as well
The only creatures I run are snaps so playing it on
Myself isn't really something id care for. I played tribute in a game taking out a 5/5 and while the extra 5 life to me was an excess, atleast I didn't spend an extra turn and a half trying to chip away at it with my tar pits. I understand devour flesh is a turn sooner and that's why I debated it for awhile with myself but in the end I chose this. If the extra turn or extra mana seems to throw me off then ill switch but for now it seems fine.
That the 1 or more life they gain results for the win in the end for them. I'd just rather not have to chip away at the excess life they have gained before their actual 20.
I don't underestimate it, I just see that for me personally, as I stated, don't see it viable. I don't run an artifact package so it seems I'd have to revamp the deck to fit in all the cards like trinkets and other artifacts. Maybe I'm just being close minded about my deck list and stubborn but I would love to see an example of what a deck list with artifacts would look.
I have been feeling like my deck is missing something, I just haven't been able to put my finger on what it is. Maybe it's this.
Edit: also, to deal with hexproof I incorporated tribute to hunger mb. While I liked the idea of devour flesh, I don't like the idea of my opponent gaining life. Any amount. And Geth's verdict seemed to be its substitute I decided against it because of the 2 black. So I went ahead and chose tribute.
Me personally I'm not too fond of the package it seems you'd have to run for it to be a viable combo. Maybe I'm missing something or not seeing the versatility but it just seems too much to me.
Thank you Lordy for posting that Hex! Lol. I was about to buy some cards to add to my deck but now that I see this deck list, I have new options to throw in. I would have been mad at myself if I checked the forums AFTER purchase.
So low and behold Magicman you were correct. My man completely slowed my game up at the FNM lol. I went 1-4 only winning against a mil deck. Almost won against hate bears but he played well and also almost another win against kitchen storm but he pulled it out at the end. I got an extra snapcaster, going in today to get another and I got A land but I'll be buying more once I head to the shop.
Ill try out volcanic fallout mb. I have been looking for a damnation. I typically result to purchasing necessary cards as my last resort but it seems I may have to bite the bullet on this one if I can't find someone to trade tonight. And I know my biggest battle has been my mana and I'm pretty sure it's the necropolis' and evolving wilds typically holding me back but as I said earlier, only make purchases if absolutely need be but a bunch of people have mana to trade so I can grab some shock/fetch from them before buying my last few.
Would it better if I swapped out my Rise // Fall for Consume the Meek main board? I actually intended the rise fall combo for when I had more snapcasters so I can bring them back, bounce something and do some hand-hate but is it worth it when I'm just running 1 and 3 augurs? Is it worth it to keep it for just fall or should I put in consume the meek?
The biggest weakness I see with your deck is the mana base. CiPT lands will ruin you. Shocks, fetches, and Reflecting Pools are basically a requirement. Also, you need some 1 mana discard. Thoughtseize if its an option, Inquistion at a minimum.
As shocking as it may seem, not that much of my mana actually comes into play tapped, I normally end up drawing a basic and if not I have my evolving wilds to fetch for one, I normally never get stuck but I see where you are coming from. I can work on my mana base more as well and I'll see if I can get some 1 mana discard from my girlfriends brother before our tourny

I'm aware that I need more snapcasters, I'm on the lookout for them and I'm also on the lookout for some cryptic commands. I'd love to get my hands on a few. However I know that my sideboard needs some serious work after slaughter games so if anybody could help me there and maybe tell me what to swap out and put in for certain games? That would be truly helpful. Thanks.
