God I love the pod matchup. Anger of the gods is such a beating. Faced some new sideboard tech from them in the form of unified will today... Thankfully I had my second anger of the gods in hand.
Yeah uw and uwr are good matchups for cruel in my testing. The issue for me is tron, twin, burn. Things that manage to squeak in their win con before I can get off a cruel without gong all in
Edit: uwr geist, for example, can be a real issue if they manage to dodge an edict.
Edit: xJosh reformat your list so it's readable and I'm sure people would be more likely to comment. Instant standout is ral. Why is he there? I like your thinking on slaughter pact.
I feel like black is weaker than white in modern for control purposes. The premier removal spell of a format being white and not black says all you need to know I think. Cruel gives more satisfying victories which is why I stick with it
The above is a personal opinion, oughtta be yours.
Only run one consume the meek since you seem to want it for tutorability. 5 mana for a sweeper is really high. Consider an anger of the gods in its place. Damnation is also solid. I question the inclusion of the 2 teachings over one, since you don't look like you're running many silver bullets main. You also aren't running many outside rakdos charm sideboard.
Edit: I also like a couple remands over a single spell snare and think twice.
I would probably drop an electrolyze and a cruel ultimatum. I don't want to see more than one cruel in this upcoming meta (I'm thinking there's going to be a definite aggro shift)

I'm curious about him only having 2 spell snares, especially now that tarmo is going to see even MORE play along with bitterblossom.
