Leyline of the Void, unlike RiP doesn't exile on ETB, so our yard will still be able to delve/snap back to some extent. If they tap out T4 to replay the Leyline we're most likely in a good spot to win. If not, they are so far ahead that whether or not they actually cast the Leyline will most likely be irrelevant.
Besides, they have to worry about both Stubborn Denial and Thoughtseize at that point, so you're able to fight it if you think it's worth it.
I'm only running one atm, and have a Rakdos Charm in place of the second one. This is a meta call however, I don't see much Tron, but graveyard and go-wide green decks are pretty common at my LGS. In an unknown meta I would probably run two Ceremonious Rejections.
Thanks for that list DaveJacinto, and I agree, I also expect Bolt vs Rise // Fall to be a meta call. Looking forward to trying it out as I'm currently in a meta with mostly midrange and control (and 1-2 DSJ players).
Yeah, I think I'm going to pick up a couple of Rise // Fall and test with them. There are some cases where I can see them be less than stellar (against Dredge the card is pretty much 100% dead) but Bolt just feels so underwhelming right now that I'm eager to try replacements for it.
Seeing as how much of the deck operates at sorcery speed, I'm tempted to move my sb Dreadbore into main and perhaps going away from Bolts and adding 1-2 Rise//Fall in their place. Thoughts?
And yeah, niether Forked Bolt or Electrolyze are perfect, but considering how bad bolt currently is I could see myself playing 2x Bolt and 1x Forked Bolt or something like that depending on how much of an issue chump blockers actually are. That said, I'm 100% behind the "slam TBR and ignore souls"-gameplan.
TBR just seems way too powerful to not play, even if our shell doesn't capitalize on it as well as DS Jund does. The ceiling is still very, very high.
Since the changes required going from Grixis Control into Death's Shadow are pretty cheap, I decided to hop on the train.
I'm considering skipping the Fulminator/Molten Rain completetly, instead going for a more aggressive TBR combo supported with counterspells.
How about running Forked Bolt/Electrolyze against Lingering Souls? They have the upside of going upstairs, but another option could be Echoing Truths, that also lets us handle any disrupting enchantments while going for the kill, or in combination with a counterspell or hand disruption we can get rid of it for good.
