I think we're being too quick to dismiss All is Dust. It's arguably the best sweeper we have access to, barring the Tron MU. It certainly is slow to come down, but we can use Eldrazi Temple to power it out sooner. And it wipes out most problematic creatures.
Someone on this page mentioned Bile Blight, has anyone tried in the SB for elves/fish/whatever? It hits that troublesome number 3 and can buy us time to drop fatties and/or curve into all is dust. BB can be tricky at times, but Languish/Drown in Sorrow/Damnation also require double black.
We shouldn't try to make this deck into some catch-all as I feel it will dilute its power. The goal is to disrupt (effectively buy time) until we can drop bombs. Once we start plugging in 1-offs for specific matchups, we're going to begin topdecking crap we don't need.
Also, someone mentioned Eye searching for Spellskite. There's an inherent toolbox going on in this deck that could possibly be abused further.
The problem with Jester's Cap (awesome idea btw) is that it seems really slow. I'd be more inclined to try Sadistic Sacrament (though it's really tough to get BBB without an active Urborg) or Memoricide (can't handle all their wincons at once). We wouldn't be able to activate Jester's Cap til turn 5, which by then they've probably already reached stupid mana to cast whatever they want. Hell, even a turn 4 Memoricide might be too late. In any scenario, they have multiple varied win conditions and we can't neutralize all of them. Tron is just brutal. I almost don't want to dedicate SB space and just hope I never run into it (probable in my meta).
Could also splash red for Crumble to Dust if Tron infests your lgs.
I brought up Map because a turn 3 Blood Moon (sometimes turn 2 against Spirit Guide decks) seems hard to contest. 4 Marsh Flats to find that single Plains is rough. Unless I'm missing something (which is totally possible). I know Moon isn't game-breaking, but it definitely puts us in a tight spot
We could preemptively set up some contingency plan against Blood Moon. I'm thinking 1-2 copies of Wastes (makes Expedition Map even more useful) and maybe another basic or two. I feel like the tempo version someone introduced earlier in this page would benefit from this kind of lean manabase.
What do you folks think of this MB removal package:
4 PtE
2 Warping Wail
1 Go for the Throat
1 Slaughter Pact
And maybe another Pact in the SB.
What dodges all of these removal spells that we really care about? Really wish we had some kind of Forked Bolt in black...
3 Eye of Ugin then. I feel like this charm has huge potential, if not just for its wide applicability. I mean all 3 modes will be relevant at some point in most matchups. I would personally love to see Spellskite get hated out of the format.
I'm personally very excited about the new charm, and even more excited about this deck in general. The NicFit player in me is so excited about dropping bomb creatures in modern.
Sorry for all the short posts, but is 4 Eye of Ugin too much? I have this paired with 3 Urborg, but something feels off

Really like All is Dust, totally forgot about it.
