You could try what wtwlf123 suggested, or another protip is to get an unsleeved crappy common or basic land, and put it against the card that you have sleeved with the perfect fit. Put both cards in the KMC sleeve together, and then take the unsleeved card out. Works like a charm.
I found that the method I described above was necessary sometimes when double sleeving some types of KMC sleeve, particularly the Super Series sleeves that I have one of my cubes sleeved in.
So who is currently double sleeving using KMC Hyper Mats?
I want to resleeve my cube, and I heard Hyper Mats are awesome, but they are a little short, particularly if you double sleeve. Anyone care to weigh in on the issue?
Sorry if you've already bought your sleeves, but just wanna add that your mileage may vary with the colors you buy. I'm not an expert on color properties, but I noticed the darker colors tend to be sturdier, hardier.
Hypermattes are awesome though, just that the darker ones are even better. But that's just me.
As with the rest, Japanese fits with Japanese sleeves... You can't go wrong. Especially if they're from the same company.
They're exactly the right length for double sleeving with KMC's perfect fits. I find them a little short for some of my cards that I have in Ultra Pro perfect fits, but I don't buy those anymore so it's basically not an issue. Double sleeving with KMC perfect fits and Hyper Mattes is the ideal sleeving practise, in my opinion.
The only issue is that you aren't sleeving this way.
Thanks guys. I just made an order for some White Hyper Mats for my cube. Hopefully they're awesome! I've been using regular KMC Mat Black for the past 5 years.

I'm investing in some new sleeves in a month or two. The Ultra Pro Mattes I have now break way too easily, and I've only had them for about a year. I'm looking for some sleeves that will last a year or two and remain in good condition. KMC Mattes are definitely an option. I also want to double sleeve.
What would people recommend?
I find that the only sleeves that will last you 2+ years are Dragon Shields. I personally use KMC though, as I like them better. I do find the KMCs wear out faster than the dragon shields though.
Can you PM that site or if allowed post it here? I've wanted really good clear sleeves for some time!
Got it through an auction on trade me, which is NZ only. However, you can find Fantasy Flight card sleeves around the internet with a quick google. The ones that fit MTG are the "standard card game sleeves"
As I said, they are significantly better than penny sleeves, but not as rigid as say, the Dragonshield clear sleeves.
Just picked up 800 Fantasy Flight clear card sleeves for use with my budget modern-border cube. Only cost me $25 NZD. Pretty happy with the purchase. The FF sleeves are more rigid than standard penny sleeves, and shuffle a lot more nicely.
That was my fear. Ugh. thanks for the reply. Its gonna be KMC's for me then.
Can anyone comment on the difference between KMC "matte" and "super"?
Definitely go for the Matte, particularly if you want to double sleeve. The supers cause a lot more friction when you're trying to get the perfect-size sleeved card into the bigger sleeve. This causes all kinds of problems with getting them in.
I have used Matte blacks for years now and I've been very happy with them. I resleeve my cube about once a year or so.
Hey, do you guys think its worth it to spend the extra money to double my sleeve my new cube? Its 360 cards unpowered, with many expensive cards like Jace, The Mind Sculptor and alot alot of $10+ cards. Also, does it add alot of bulk to the cards themselves. Will it feel different than just normal one sleeve?
Always double sleeve your cube. The difference between your cube and your random decks is that you have other people getting their mitts all over your cube. You'll feel a lot safer if it's double sleeved.
Good to know! Mine should be coming today. I'm so excited (it's a box...but it's MY box).
I also ordered a box from Designcraft, but since they sent it, it appears to have disappeared from the face of the earth. I check the tracking, and there haven't been any updates for a couple of weeks. The tracking is following it until it left the US, then when I check the tracking for my country's post system, it contains no info except that it has been "picked up" at the US end, and that it supposedly is still in the US.

I guess for $29 that's a good deal. However, I'm not a fan of Ultrapros in general. KMC or Dragonshield are my favourites.

I heard the opposite. I would go with KMC, regardless. I haven't had good experiences with Ultra Pro
