I have made it a long time goal for me to slowly build a deck like this, I have only recently started playing magic so I don't have these older cards.
I already have the 4 birthing pod from last years standard.
I have been nabbing up as much of the deck as I can whille Modern Masters has increased supply significantly. However the lands and kitchen might take me awhille to get.
I got Scullers, Red caps and Reveilak from MMA limited. I have cartel aristocrats and 2 X Valoz's. own the 1 of phyrexian metamorph and shriekmaw.
Since without the tutors we aren't going to be as good at combo how can we improve the aggro plan?
So I am thinking of getting into modern.... well I have a play set of Birthing pod from when it was in standard and I really love the way the card plays.
With the up coming MM I am thinking there might be an opening to get into the format.. while I don't think it will affect the rares and mythic prices a ton the uncommons like the ones that make this deck run looks like they might drop to affordable prices.
I was thinking about my old G/B pod deck (which I took apart for EDH).... how much can we lean on artifacts to get the job done? It would certainly help the mana base.
Glissa the traitor first strike/deathtouch seems like it would be tough for a lot of decks to breakthough. Removal removes it of course and it has no ETB effect so upsides and downsides.
I looked it up after people were mentioning it's combo with Archangel of thune (which is unforunately not budget atm).
it actually seems really good in the deck... like another kitchen finks that can also reset kitchen finks
also great with gavony township and Varloz
