Remand is really important because you see more cards and that's exactly what Tron wants to do. Leak is fine, but I would add the fourth Repeal and probably one more draw spell to compensate.
Trading Post is playable. It has good synergy with the deck - you can sac Solemn to draw two cards or to bring back an artifact and draw a card. You also can go for infinite Wurmcoils.
Yeah, basically you want to control the early game via counters and bounce, draw/select cards while you assemble the Tron and stabilize, then drop a win con.
On the topic of blockers, people have been using Steel Wall and Kraken Hatchling, both resistant to Lightning Bolt/Searing Blaze. Steel Wall is easier on mana, but dies to artifact removal (which people will bring against us). Kaijin is good, but the 3 toughness may be a problem.
Angel is good vs Infect, Bogle and some combo decks that can't deal with it.
Last week I couldn't play MtG, but I think this week I'll be able to - I'm probably going again for the Red splash, adding Pyroclasm/Firespout and super secret tech Detritivore. I had a blast playing this guy and Aeon Chronicler back during RAV Standard.
Agreed. It could be useful in some matchups, but I think we're better served with other options, the SB is already crowded. But a T3 Trinisphere could help a lot vs Burn.
Ensnaring Bridge is a resource decks like Burn use to avoid being destroyed by big creatures. They can use it efficiently 'cause normally their game plan is to just unload everything before your opponent has a chance to stabilize (I play Burn too :)). It's not our case.
There's an underrated artifact out there that maybe we could make use in some MUs: Trinisphere.
PTQ: shoktroopa went 5-4, ranking 56 out of 301. He was 5-2 but unfortunately lost the last two rounds (two 7-2 players made Top 8). First round of Top 8 being played now.
You're more than welcome to join us!
I tried to contact you but as you told you were busy, so I went ahead and plublished the Primer on your deck here: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=496295
I know it's not the quickest read, but if you can review it and shed a light on the sideboard section it would be awesome.
Good luck playing this weekend!
You can post a report and list at the Primer if you will.
Let me know what you think.
I'm still trying to contact shoktroopa. He'll probably block me and send me to hell soon.
In my experience, the most used win cons are, in order: Mindslaver lock (Mindslaver + Academy Ruins and 12 mana), Sundering Titan, Wurmcoil Engine (awesome vs aggro and generally anything without Path to Exile). There are also the games you'll ride a Treasure Mage and/or Solemn Simulacrum to win with counter backup (a lot decks inflict 8+ damage to themselves through the mana base and cards like Dark Confidant).
You have to be wise about what to counter and what to let go 'cause it just won't matter in the end. That's the hardest part, I think.
Another good tech vs other Tron is Shifting Borders.
