It has an interesting approach, I may sleeve it up and give it a go. Not sure about some numbers/choices, but I think it has potential for taking down an FNM.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. - René Descartes
I believe that is the same as before: too slow and folds to graveyard hate. I would love to see someone break the meta with a Loam engine, but I don't think it can be done with the current state of the meta.

If you are worried to be decked, what about a couple of Gaea's Blessing in your sideboard?
Far from ideal, but it's a start.

Still haven't decided on the sideboard, but I guess some mixture of sweepers, artifact/graveyard hate, some form of life-gain will be included.
I would like to include Lingering Souls in the main, but I'm not quite sure what to take out. I think Souls + Flayer is great synergy.
Any thoughts?

It would be probably a better idea to play just straight Abzan, or Jund for that matter, but that it's not the point. What do you think?
PS: I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread, I know that is for Assault Loam, but since there is little to no activity here I thought that a different Loam strategy may be welcomed to discuss.

That put the card count up to 67. Needless to say, 7 have to go. I thought that maybe 4 Bloodghast can go, maybe the Tasigurs, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas?

It was legal back then when I was playing Assault Loam and Pox Loam. I don't think it will change that much, but I will certainly will keep an eye open.
Assault/Pox Loam decks are my all time favorites!

PS: When / why the Bloodghast price spiked up? When I bought them they were like 2 dollars each if I'm not mistaken.

Pox Loam is an alternative, but if you want to go the creature route, perhaps Young Pyromancer may be a decent inclusion. Sadly, nothing replaces Goyf :/

I worked just fine for the most part (there were some weird opening hands from time to time), but with the new (old) fetches it should be consistent enough. Keep in mind that this was to support Liliana, Smallpox and Assault.

Local meta is packed with graveyard hate as well. Living End, Aggro-Loam, Pod, Storm, etc.
mykatdied, may I see your list? Curious about it as I hadn't much success with my Pox Loam.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure the other guys can provide you with some good advice. I stopped playing Loam because I felt that it doesn't have a strong plan B.

It's been a while since last time I played Pox-Loam (too many graveyard hate on my local meta). I used to run 4 Bloodghasts but it seems that they got replaced by Young Pyromancer these days.

The problem I see with Naya lists is I cannot justify losing the control elements of the Loam engine (Raven's Crime, Liliana, Pox) for a cute Loam / Seismic combo in a sub-par Naya shell. I think it may be best to try to mix her on the Young Pyromancer list, taking out the Smallpoxes and add some value creatures (Huntmaster of the Fells, Scavenging Ooze?) / removal / burn.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really trying to play with Knight of the Reliquary, as I love the card, but I don't know how to build around her. Thanks for the reply!
