I don't know why they wouldn't give a token for all cards that require tokens, even if it meant making the token for the first time. Thats kinda crappy.
Apparently according to spoiled information about the scars storyline elspeth and tez will be on that plane during the story so we can expect to see a standard legal planeswalker - elspeth, and a planeswalker - tezzeret card with the release of the upcoming block.
So... what's the point of buying them then? I guess the really casual players would buy it, but other than that it seems to me like a waste..
Usually they have some other good cards as well.
I use harmonize, mutilate, corrupt, phyrexian rager, snuff out, fleshbag maurauder, enslave, rancor, and a number of the other cards from the GvL in decks. I didn't previously own any of these cards prior to buying the dual decks.
Good yes, but not a staple so i'm happy. less Planeswalker shinanigans especially since if she was reprinted unless scars was retarded good U/W planeswalkers would be so dominant it wouldn't be funny especially since the only thing to deal with planeswalkers is haste creatures in which there is only one good one.... Vengevine
So hellspark elemental, hell's thunder, and Bloodbraid Elf see play consistently in top decks because they are bad creatures?
Also there are plenty of ways to deal with walkers: oblivion ring, maelstrom pulse, all is dust, earthquake or any spell that does damage, and mold shambler to name a few.
I mean honestly sure that'd be cool if she was a new planeswalker *as long as she has the capability of being AS GOOD as her previous form unlike Chandra where both forms of her are useless in competetive play
False. Chandra nalar was a 6 point burn spell for 5, which is very good, and has seen competitive play here and there. And ablaze is decent as well. Forcing your opponent to discard their hand to draw 3 cards is really good, especially against control.

It's going to likely sell out frequently. Tell your shop to hold one for you if you want one. Or pre-order it online. At walmart all I see is phyrexia v coalition. I never see Garruk vs Liliana.
Yeah, that's the way mine were too.
Start eating forests bro.
Espeth Tirel is mono white.
i saw them in there yesterday
Elspeth alone is going for $30!
Or not. Single elsepth is on ebay for buy it now less than $18. Playsets from 70-80. Tezz is going for under 10.

LOL @ you get an emblem with "artifacts creatures and enchantments you control are indestructible"
The new extended will be almost standard so I should be good
Debating on how many of these to preorder. I can get em for 20 each.
Frankly, I hope they just reprint elspeth, knight-errant, and tezzeret the seeker, rather than making new incarnations.
While they did make new incarnations of chandra and jace, I like that they brought the old ones back in M11.
Also, I don't know if it's been posted yet, but here is a spoiler of the box which shows what the new art on 'speth and tez will be.
