See but that's not a cycle. it's a bunch of legends in a set that was about multicolor tribes. Besides being multicolor legends they have nothing in common.
and not that it matters, but they also don't add up evenly as suggested.
They were a cycle of legends dedicated to tribal identity.
There was one legend for each tribe, that was the entire point.
A cycle doesn't have to be five cards, and they don't have to have a tight mechanical identity between them.
There can be a cycle for any reason, and in pretty much whatever form they want so long as it addresses things evenly.
And of course, there is the vertical cycle, but that is neither here nor there.
1) Wizards has never, to my knowledge, having seen every card, done an asymmetric "cycle" with 2-3 colors cards like that. I think it's far more likely that we'll get an incomplete cycle, and my best guess for the excluded triad is GBW since Doran already gives them +1 legend over the other wedges.
Doran the Siege Tower and all the other legends from Lorwyn.
Ah yes blue, my bad. I was holding a Ninja of the Deep Hours as well so I dunno how I goofed that up. But how many new cards can they print? I mean these are 60 card decks (that aren't singleton) so you are limited in what new stuff you can print, though I'll bet money that there will be some Kamigawa locations, hopefully interacting with Ninjustsu in a cool way (Like a chaos effect that makes all your creatures unblockable this turn or reduces Ninjutsu costs).
Well, I hope they can allot maybe 2-5 per deck, but I feel that would make a serious splash given the relatively small card pool to speak of to start with.
I might be optimistic in my estimation though, I won't lie. I wouldn't even expect all of the new cards in the ninja deck to have anything to do with ninjas either.
I'm not familiar with Ana's colours but didn't Ninjas only exist in white and black? Wouldn't the third colour be mostly for filler since they aren't gonna print more Ninjas specifically for this dexk?
Blue and black.
None in white.
And they actually might print new ninjas. They're printing new cards in these decks since it did so well with the Commander products.
Call me crazy, but could we STOP discussing Commander in the Planechase thread?
As far as the decks go, I just hope they aren't loaded with things that people want more than the product. I just hate it when people buy them just so they can cannibalize the decks inside for a few key cards. Just a peeve of mine.
Sweet, Planechase finally getting some supplements!
Archenemy was kind of amusing, but it really didn't follow Planechase as strongly, and I was utterly bored and uninterested in Commander, not even the new cards stirred my interest since they were all singleton.
So more Planechase is fantastic news for me. Sweet sweet oversized locations.
And yes, you read it right, I don't like Commander, I don't really get the draw for it. Then again, even *I* looked at Maelstrom Wanderer and thought "EDH players are gonna kill for that thing."

The Undercity Reaches isn't Dimir. The Undercity included the Golgari, Dimir, and Orzhov (in a completely different portion of the Undercity.)
