Well, you should embrace your black and join Clan Bolas!
I kind of want a playset of Percy . . . But sadly I don't. I'd use them in my Grixis deck, though, so not quite the same. What is this "Gate deck" you speak of?
The Gate is a mono-black Legacy deck that uses Gatekeeper of Malakir's and Abyssal Persecutors.
In other news, Legacy, all the cool kids are playing it, you should too!
Legacy is probably my favorite format other than maybe EDH. I'm currently putting together a Goblins deck, because I find the deck hilarious and awesome all at once.
Jhoira is very expected from us and she is overdone. Everyone knows what she's going to do. Same with Niv-Mizzet.
I actually want to do Tibor and Lumia. Go ahead and laugh, but I have a very cool way of abusing T&L to make a pretty effective deck. The Izzet should be known for thinking erratically and not always sticking to the status quo.
I'm kind of interested in what you have in mind for Tibor and Lumia, if you could PM me about it.
I've honestly stopped caring about my birthdays after I moved out of my parents house, mostly I just go out with some friends for a steak and that's that.
I think we should do Thraximundar or Jhoira for our general if this is the next contest, though there are some other fun ones we could do.
Well, Humans vs Zombies ended Monday night (BEST GAME EVER), and I've been busy since. I've been building Legacy Goblins, and having a lot of fun with a proxied list in the meantime.
Apologies all for being absent lately, I haven't played much Magic lately as I've been busy all week with Humans v. Zombies (Lots of fun). I've also been testing and learning legacy Goblins so I can see if I want to Put it together. Also, <3 Thraximundar, I made mine a control deck with Thraxi as finisher.
Cool! I'm still de-proxying my Cpt. Sisay EDH deck, but there isn't much of a presence of EDH at my main LGS, so I don't really use it any. The rotation between draft and standard is actually sort of disappointing, as I don't have much of a budget for building competitive standard decks. How's the competition over there? At my LGS, it's pretty cutthroat, so I don't partake in Standard much.
We have a pretty competitive LGS, and as for Standard, hell, whenever I actually play Standard, I usually borrow cards from friends to build a deck right before, but I normally don't play FNM's.
I go to Ohio University in Athens. I think our Math program is pretty good, I have no idea. The campus is beautiful enough to convince anyone to come here though. Our shop is very EDH oriented, and our FNM's rotate between Draft and Standard every week. We're starting to hold EDH tournaments too, starting this week, I'll probably let everyone know how that goes, and we're trying to get Legacy going too.
Just playing with ya, good stuff seeing you're still on the face of the earth. Like you and Pheon, I didn't go to States either. It was about an hour drive from where I live, but I couldn't find another person to carpool with me and I don't even have that much SOM to work with lol.
I didn't go to States either, even though it's only an hour and a half from me. I kind of lost the will to go about halfway through the week, I didn't really feel like playing any of the super fast decks, so I stayed back and lazed around/played Magic/played D&D/watched a movie with some friends.
I saw that, it really sucks, he was an awesome actor, and hilariously funny. RIP Leslie.

Also, should we officially promote the test subjects with the new thread, since I don't believe that ever actually happened, just talked about.

[The Izzet] hit zero to infinite in 2.5 seconds.

I didn't say anything! Though I do like it. >.>;;
I will refrain from voting for Acolytes as well, though I vote for Lucknorris and Pheon for High Mage.
