I'm going to test Traverse. But i'm affraid it will push the deck towards being a more midrange deck. Command works on instant speed and is far more flexible.
I hope i have some findings on traverse by this weekend.

In my testing with the devil i found he plays amazing with Kolaghan's command and snapcasters. I brought him in vs midrange and he often got sniped put of my hand early. Command lets you grab him eot and refill your hand in your turn. He underperformed for me in RUG. I'll be testing him in a RUG build with less counters and more burn.

I'm still looking at Gnarlwood Dryad. It seems like a decent card vs Attrition decks. Being just a single G, i'm not worying about it catching removal. Plus it trades with everything on the field, making it getting blocked more profitable.

Might be good vs midrange. I would up the thought scour count to 4 if you want to feed the devil and the monkey. That draw three might be just the thing vs BGx. It's even bolt and decay proof.

Emerge has apparent synergy with delve creatures, but they still ask us to two-for-one ourselves. Even if we get a creature we're happy to do that with, offsetting the advantage isn't enough. Emerge and flash seem better together because they can "blank" removal spells, but even there, Simic Charm is probably better almost always. A playable (for us) emerge threat would have to solve a serious problem in a unique way, like allow us to refill on cards or something after a grindfest with Jund. Given there's still the issue of needing to have a Mandrills in play, I doubt we'll get an emerge card that works in this deck.
Agreed. It would have to have flash, make tokens or draw cards to offset the disadvantage of sacking a creature. I don't think we'll be getting many more emerge cards with flash.
Sidenote: I kind of wish the would spoil less eldrazi cards and more cards with delirium.

I might try the Dryad as delver 5&6. I don't think playing the full set is a good idea because of what Jordan explained earlier. I still like it, though.

It's in the SB with the extra mountain. It's a great topdeck that can only be answered by a wrath vs Jeskay. Vs Abzan it gets past lingering souls and all their removal(unless they pack slaughter pact/maelstrom pulse) Vs jund it helps you in topdeck mode. Be wary of terminate. It's not the Anti-Jund card we've been looking for, however.

Anyone try devastating summons as a one-of in the sideboard to push through extra damage?
sacrificing lands is very painfull. Sure you probably can make 2 4/4's, however you're going to be in a world of hurt if one of them gets destroyed and the other stonewalled. It will only help you when you are ahead.
Stormbreath Dragon is a card i'm eying at the moment. It's pro white helps in the Nahiri/abzan matches (huge here) and with the extra mountain in my flex slot and all the path to exiles thrown around, it comes down early enough. You only have to fear terminate if you bring it in against jund. Spell snare and stubborn denials should be saved for these.

Sorry. But your deck is all over the place. It tries to be a linear agro deck with cards that belong in a tempo and/or midrange deck. You also have no way to interact with the board.

I've been eyeing Thassa, god of the sea as a way to combat BGx and Grixis. It's nigh unremovable and helps you filter your draw's and dig for that 4th land/huntmaster. It can also help your goyfs/monkeys/huntmasters get trough stalemates.

I've had some succes with Pestermite. Sure it catches all their removal, but it also allows you to keep them off BB sometimes or tap down a Goyf/Kalitas, giving you an opportunity to attack. Being only a 2/1 makes it an unimpressive clock without support of an golf/monkey/wolfman, though.
Sower of temptation occasionally works. It dodges decay, but is open tot bolt/terminate.
I've also been trying Chandra, pyromaster. It helps our creatures get through while damage the opponent, or she gives card advantage. Revealing counters of off her +0 sucks, though.

so is this deck NOT monkey grow if you're not playing disrupting shoal? i'm on a build of RUG delver very similar to the stock list but no shoals, no leaks and no huntsmasters in the sideboard
It is, but in my opinion it's an inferior build. You can call a deck whatever you like!
haha alright. i went 5-2 at a 99 player event a week ago with the deck so i was wondering what the correct naming of the deck was.
Care to share a decklist? And how are you handling the attrition matches without huntmaster?

I like Rancor, but it really opens you up on 2 for 1's. It does get dmg trough when it sticks, tough.
