Mortars is worse than Flame Slash most of the time and if the game goes long enough for you to cast the overload and for it to be more than a 2 for 1 you've probably lost already
also one of my favorite plays was Delving away my graveyard to shrink Goyf enough to Flame Slash

Again, I don't have access to the Zendikar fetches. I primarily played blue Tron before, so I'm learning towards more tempo than aggro. What do you guys think?
That's very similar to my list.
Mine is -2 remand, -1 vapor snag, +1 spell snare, +1 forked bolt, +1 spell pierce.
I don't think you need that many counterspells in the board. I'd cut 2 Dispels and 1 Counterflux for 2 Blood Moons and either a Combust or Dismember.

Hey guys, I will be bringing Delver to next week's FNM, and I found an interesting list that splashed a bit of black a couple of pages back. The OP stated he/she was successful with the list and I really liked the style - hyper aggressive. The following is the list, modified slightly (removed 4 Cruises for 4 Inquisitions MB) from the original:
What do you guys think? The list is a bit different from most here. I don't have access to Zendikar fetches. My meta is very diverse - all Tier 1 and 2 decks are represented plus homebrews.
I'm not even sure if it's worth commenting on because you have so many bizarre cards in there. Why Nivmagus? Why run Growth/Strobe instead of counterspells main deck? Why Gut Shot over Forked Bolt or other burn spells?
Most importantly, where is Treasure Cruise?

I played with a treasure cruise style deck for about 2 weeks before it started to annoy and bore me. I've played this deck before the Khans release and didn't like the way the deck plays with treasure cruise and/or swiftspears. Also, many many people play delver now and the mirrormatches are just boring.
Right now I'm on the same page as zemanjaski and a few others with dig through time and snapcaster mage and I'm having tons of fun with it. The deck is slower (but can still kill on turn 4 if left unchecked), has a better midgame/endgame and plays more controllish. DTT in this deck is more powerful then treasure cruise in my opinion. It's nuts and fun to play and very simular to my pre-Khans deck. Apart from your 1 mana cantrips and a few creatures the whole deck operates at instant speed which makes it unpredictable and suitable for people who like psychological warfare.
Hopefully I'll be able to get a few more games in this week and see how it deals with different decks.
I would also like to address another card that's getting very popular with the new meta: chalice of the void. I'm curious to hear if you run into it as well, how often and how do you deal with it? When people play it on x=1 it's very hard to beat. The best way to deal with it is to counter it of course, but what do you do when it does land? Personally, I currently play 1 shattering spree in the SB, but I have yet to draw/dig it with an active chalice in play.
Shattering Spree is not the answer because they are always going to name Chalice for 1. You want Smash to Smithereens instead if Chalice is your main worry.

First of all, I want to say that I would encourage you to build the deck now so you can begin getting experience with it. It's a really fun deck and you will still get to do the same things an optimal list would, just a bit less consistently. You can gradually replace cards as you acquire them.
With my mana base (9 fetch, 2 vents), and 4 Probe main deck, I usually end up doing 4-8 damage to myself per game (more if I cast Dismember!). More if I'm playing against Infect This deck wants to use all of its mana every turn, so you would probably end up doing 1 damage to yourself per turn. And a draw with multiple Brasses is just awful. If you only play 2 or 3 Brass you're much less likely to draw multiples (your chance of drawing 2 goes down exponentially w/ every copy you cut). Shivan Reef is another option, as it's strictly better here than City of Brass.
My opinion on Izzet Charm also applies to Mana Leak - 2 mana spells are very "expensive" for us (they often cannot be cast until turn 4+ if you want to be proactive, and if you aren't proactive, you're probably losing), and Izzet Charm can be played around just like Spell Pierce can be played around, except you have to keep another mana up. 2 mana counters should either be a "hard" counter or provide tremendous value (like Remand does). Deprive might be okay for now, but also consider Delay. If I were you, I'd replace Izzet Charm with Negate or Spell Snare, and try out Deprive for now, but also consider running Delay instead. I'm still not sure whether Delay is an improved Mana Leak or a worse Remand, but I want to try it out.
IMO we should be running 6-8 burn spells in the main. You only have the Bolts and Izzet Charm right now. Forked Bolt has been an excellent card for me, and many of us have experimented with Burst Lightning, Flame Slash, Dismember, main deck Pillar, etc. You are totally cold to Goyf on the play without Spell Snare or Dismember. You also have no answer to Restoration Angel outside of Deprive boarded Combusts.
I have personally never lost a match to Burn (probably 4-0 against it). I don't really fear the deck. I used to run 3 Claw, then 2, and now I'm trying out 0. My issue is that Claw really has to be in your opening hand, and it's pretty bad against Goblin Guide draws. Also you would be boarding in 4 Claw and 2 Dispel, and so you would be boarding out... 2 Vapor Snag and maybe some Probes and/or Izzet Charms.
As for artifact hate - I just see Affinity everywhere (and occasionally Hatebears which runs Vial and Revoker), and IMO you need more than just 2 sideboard cards for it, especially since you don't have Grim Lavamancer (which was always a problem for Affinity).

he only plays 1 Swiftspear, and 4 Dragon's Claws in the board, so I'm going to shut up about Dragon's Claw for now

City of Brass is awful. I'd rather have Sulfur Falls, basics, or even Temples.
Treasure Cruise becomes much worse without fetchlands - that's the problem with budget lists.
Not a big fan of Thought Scour, but you might need it with your no-fetch list.
I've made my opinion known on Izzet Charm already, I think it's terrible. I'd rather have Negate, Delay, Remand, or Spell Snare.
Deprive might be difficult to cast with your mana base - you might want Mana Leak instead.
4 Dragon's Claw is totally unnecessary in the sideboard. Cut 1-2 for either a Dismember or Combust and another anti-artifact spell.
Pyromancer generates a lot more power, and it can generate tokens on your first turn (assuming you don't cast it on turn 2)
