Looks great I like all the 4 ofs.
Typically people running Sage run fetchlands so they can take the first card and shuffle the rest away, play it seeing 4 lands and knowing you are dead is a terrible feeling.
Losing myr superion seems wrong, except the current meta and fatal push makes it much worse than it used to be.
This deck is about 1 turn too slow for modern, all it has to do to win is to hold the opponent off for one turn, if that turn is them using a removale spell instead of killing us that is good for us. they spend one turn killing a lodestone then we get another into play that costs them another turn. plus metamorph can copy a out opponents as well.
With grand architect in play you can probably pay that 1 blue to get lodestone out of bolt range.
I played thoughtsieze in my sideboard, you could run inquisitions in the main, in the heartless version as interaction, again you only need to knock your opponent slightly off balance to give you time to turn on the lodestone lock.
I understand why you'd want hierach as my experience with the deck is that it is exactly 1 turn too slow for modern, which is super frustrating.
If you are playing green you can do some silly things involving Beck//call,you'd have to lose the lodestones unfortunately, In modern I always want to be doing something fundermentally unfair. Dramatic reversal seems promising when all your creatures are mana dorks.
I'd almost want to try a sultai version just so I could also use the contraband kingpin.. but the whole deck requires a critical mass of artifacts to function and I seem to be cutting too many of them for my liking to make something like that.
Well if there is any great vechicals then perhaps I could revive a silly brew I was using with Disciple of Deceit to tutor out pili-pala and grand architect. It was really hard to get her tapped without using some bad cards.
I like the heartless list you have there... If you want to run some 1 drops to help getting the deck off the ground faster (when I played it I always felt 1 turn too slow) then I suggest Sidisi's Faithful
Got to find space for Myr Superion and its really hard to have any 1 drops but I am thinking Sidisi's faithful is the best one for heartless decks it still has value later in the game.
I took all my wurmcoils and I play Blue tron now but I check in here every now and then since this deck is my first love.. haha.
Thats a mono blue version its like artifact merfolk. its got lords and mana lands and things and Hangerback walker as a powerful token maker. oh perhaps I should consider Myr superion in there somewhere.
Hmm interesting with Thalia... could we make UW hate bears/rocks?
I'd just play Wurmcoil over batterskull if you are taxing non creatures. I kind of want to play thorn as well as thalia and lodestone and pretty much all the hate we can cram in. Meddling mage is a blue creature for example.
While the faerie doesn't seem worth it. The merfolk, harbringer of the tides, on the other hand does.
Creature decks have problems with 2 mana 5/6s and wurmcoil engines then we can try to tax controling/mid range decks out of the game.
I put my version of the deck away and built mono blue tron instead maybe I'll comeback.
I haven't actually caught up to the point where Khans is I sort of built the deck played it for funsies and put it back down again because it clearly wasn't a great deck, fun definately, compedative nope.
In order to play the current bogemen treasure cruise(or DTT) we would need a lot more cantrip power which means less creatures which stops the deck working so probably not going to work.
However there is one card I discovered from Khans, due to the rediclousness that was Greg Hatches Arftificers intuition deck from legacy (look the deck tech up on youtube). Altar of the brood.
The combo is. Heartless summoning + Altar of the brood + 2 X Myr Retriever then you loop them until you mill your opponent to death I am trying to work out the best shell for it (Playing about with Tezz decks involving it atm).
I also want to try out grixis because Mishra, Artificer Prodigy. however I might not need much more than a set of Cavern of souls since he is an Artificer.. he does dumb things and seems like the best soultion to the no card advantage problem of the deck has.
Just thoughts atm, still have a complete lack of interaction and a big problem trying to beat pod however if they all remove the combo then this deck gets better.
I need interaction of some sort.. I have a half baked pod deck that wins everytime... just can't deal with the combo and is too slow to beat it for damage. pod has enough artifact removal to deal with angel.
I am thinking about cutting the treasure mage trying to get card draw... I still have no interaction though but I also can't hold up mana for things I need to keep my deck moving forward.
My card did finally arrive I currently can't afford spellskites so basically running more thought seize instead atm... looking to pick up some chalices for the side since they are really good. LGS has 6 proxy modern tournaments I am tempted to enter with this but I'll probably be crushed. It is awesome to have just played standard for 3/4 years and obtaining a perfect mana base :).
When it works.. it works... when it doesn't.. it does nothing, seems pretty bad against pod but I have beaten a lot of the lower tier modern decks. Importantly its lots of fun.
I don't think the doom engine is worth it.. the Soul of new Phyrexia is pretty good though... saves you against boardwipes I have considered it a few times since getting actually boardwiped, which is rare thankfully, is a serious problem for me. 4 phyrexian metamorph is the key to the deck I'd like to see 4 in the deck.

I play U tron, (I took my GA deck apart to play it when I obtained Tron lands), my opponent crumble to dust on Urza's Tower.. then proceeded to path to exile my threats, thought-knot seer, wurmcoil engine, until I just cast Ugin wiped his board and won.

Have you considered phyrexian metamorph you start copying things, notably your own lodestones but also your opponents Tarmogoyfs and Tasigur's
I'd play sphinx summoner (it's blue) over forgemaster, but Sundering titan is a great card and forgemaster is the easiest way to get it into play.
