I thought Sullivans rant on legacy was hysterical and refreshing. Colins was on camera all day, we knew what the deck did
Sullivan said it himself, the game was in trash time, it was already over for his opponent at that point.
Honestly, PSully and Cedric were awesome this weekend, I don't think any duo in mtg comes even close to these guys.
Honestly, Collin was lucky that UG Merfolk played horribly multiple times. I'm going to chalk up the merfolk player just being absolutely exhausted, because he definitely snatched away defeat from the jaws of victory.
And had that happened, Storm most likely would have won this whole thing.
Yeah, DSJ not being weak to Tron and decks alike is a big deal, it's 50/50 against so much now. I played against Death Grixis on mtgo today, it's just a worse deck that plays better in the mirror. I still beat the player though, despite him opening up with a hand of 4 removal, serum visions, a snapcaster and a land, still "junded" him out.
Ugh, Death Shadow in the top 8, it's going to eat a ban with this many top 8's (Not by tomorrow's ban, of course)
Jund is absolutely a dead deck with Shadow in existence.
Maybe this will get them to unban Bloodbraid Elf.
Nah, I think they just weaken Shadow enough to make it a irrelevant tier 2.5 deck so traditional Jund comes back. I think if Death Shadow eats a ban ramp and big combo won't really have anything to keep it in check though. I'd like to see a good unban to help combat DSJ instead, but I'm not optimistic
...I mean, I know I'm saying to wait a few months, but I've called it since the GP---the deck is so unfair it may need a bauble/wraith/Traverse ban (despite a lot of people disagreeing with me).
I thought Todd had it game 2, when he opened up with 2 mana dorks, path, Goyf, and collected company I thought it was over for shadow. I definitely would have made a bad decision in his place
Is this a real deck or just a flash in the pan that'll disappear quickly into tier 3? Can it adapt? What kind of meta shift would destroy it?
I'm curious to see if this deck inspires midrange to make a resurgence.
It actually looks like it could overwhelm jund.
What's the archetype weak to?
1 Result isn't enough
I don't think this deck will be anything thats really around 6 months later. It was just a meta rogue deck

Players also just get nervous and fatigued. I don't really think it says anything, we see good players make poor decisions all the time.
Bull*****, my man
I know if someone said, "there was one Jund deck in the top 32 of SCG open and one Junk deck in the top 16 of Scg Classic" you'd be very unhappy
